MOUNT VERNON — The Dan Emmett Music & Arts Festival activities will result in several changes in the normal parking pattern.
Limited handicap accessible parking will be available on a first come first serve basis in several locations. For the second year, North Main Street between the square and Chestnut Street will be available for accessible parking on Thursday through Saturday.
The city parking garage has three levels, one entrance from Gay Street between High and Chestnut streets. Two additional levels are available off of Chestnut Street to Blackberry Alley (normally one-way from the square, but made two-way during the festival).
There is also limited accessible parking on West High Street between the square and Mulberry Street on Thursday through Saturday. The Dan Emmett Antique and Classic Car show has been moved back to the square, so accessible parking will only be available in the city parking garage on Sunday.
On Thursday, during the Senior Day on the square, there will be accessible parking on the north side of the square as well as East High between the square and Gay Street.
