MOUNT VERNON — “The Magic of Dahlias” will be the topic of the first fall Brown Bag Chat on Wednesday, Sept. 5, at noon at the Public Library of Mount Vernon and Knox County.
Bob Giehl, Master Gardener and member of the Greater Columbus Dahlia Society, will bring samples of some of his collection and share his expertise on this majestic beauty of the flower garden. He will explain plant and dahlia physiology for a better understanding of why dahlias are the most varied flowers. He will show video and DVD clips that will help explain different flower forms.
Bring questions or simply enjoy learning more about this flower. Feel free to bring a brown bag lunch. Beverages will be served. Free and open to the public.
For information, contact the main library at 201 N. Mulberry St.; call 740-392-BOOK (2665), ext. 243; email communityrelations@knox.net; or visit www.knox.net.
