FREDERICKTOWN — Try-outs for the Fredericktown Tomato Show Lip Sync Contest will be held in the commons area of the Fredericktown School on Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon. Signs will be posted.
The contest is open to the world. However, anyone up to 15 years of age must audition for the Thursday, Sept. 6 event. There will be no walk-ons during the Tomato Show unless the participant is 16 or older.
Participants must bring their own music selection on a CD plus their own costumes and props. A CD player will be provided. Participants should come prepared to perform a three-minute entry.
Anyone in the 16 or older categories may pre-register by calling Chris Well at 501-1288. Also, 16 and older may register the evening of the event, beginning at 6:30 in front of the First-Knox National Bank.
In order to insure a family-oriented show, the committee may request to see written lyrics.

•16 years of age – older (adults)
•12 – 15 years of age
•9 -11 years of age
