FREDERICKTOWN — This October, the Freaky Factory Trail and Corn Maze in Fredericktown is open for its fifth season.
The Freaky Factory Trail has opened once again for the fall season. The trail is a family-friendly outdoor attraction that features various “PG” Halloween scenes including a mad scientist, cemetery, pumpkin patch, and more. Fog machines, lights, and music add to the experience. Actors in costumes like Big Foot and the “Chicken Man” are a favorite for the kids.
This year, they once again have a six-acre Corn Maze. The Corn Maze is located at the back of the Freaky Factory property. The property owners used GPS technology to create the maze. It features corn trivia along the way that helps visitors choose which direction to take. Typically, it takes 45 minutes to 1 hour to complete the maze.
“What is unique about The Freaky Factory is that we tried to keep families in mind. There are a lot of Halloween attractions for adults, but we wanted to provide a place where parents could bring their kids. The trail is for kids of all ages. Last year we drew folks from all over central Ohio. We look forward to another successful year,” said owner Jason Bowles.
The Freaky Factory is open every weekend in October. The Freaky Factory Trail is open Fridays and Saturdays from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. The Corn Maze is open on Fridays 6-8 p.m. and Saturdays 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The Freaky Factory is located at 68 Mount Vernon Ave., Fredericktown. For rules and location information visit www.freakyfactory.com. Guests are encouraged to bring a flashlight.
