MOUNT VERNON — The spine-tingling thriller, “The Woman in Black,” rated PG-13, will be featured during free movie night Wednesday, Oct. 24, at 6:30 p.m. at the Public Library of Mount Vernon and Knox County.
Director James Watkins creates an old-fashioned, spook-fest story of a young lawyer who travels to a remote village in the old English countryside where he discovers a vengeful ghost of a scorned woman is terrorizing the locals. Actor Daniel Radcliffe, who plays the role of the young lawyer still grieving over the death of his own wife during childbirth, has left his Harry Potter days behind in this jump-out-of-your-seat thriller.
The movie is free and open to the public and will be shown in the lower level multipurpose room at the main library, 201 N Mulberry St. Free popcorn provided by Subway of Mount Vernon and beverages will be served.
