MOUNT VERNON — Knox Community Hospital invites area students in 6th-12th grades to Healthcare Career Night on Monday, Nov. 5 from 6 to 8 p.m., in the KCH cafeteria.
The objective of this event to is to introduce and educate local students and adults to healthcare careers.
Three break-out sessions have been added to the event to help students learn more about education preparation for college, what to look for in a nursing program and financial aide. Departments of the hospital will have individual displays with information such as job descriptions and salary ranges. Representatives from area colleges and universities will be on hand to answer questions.
There will be refreshments and door prizes. Students, and their parents, are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to learn about healthcare careers. For more information, please contact Mike McKinley, employment specialist, at 393-9021.
