MOUNT VERNON — “Surrounded by Death – A History Mystery” will be the topic of the next Brown Bag Chat noon on Halloween, Oct. 31, at the Public Library of Mount Vernon and Knox County, on Halloween.

You walk the streets of the city and find Death has crossed every threshold. What could be causing everyone around you to die? Can it be stopped? See if you can follow the clues and solve the mysteries in order to stop the death and despair in this real-life detective story from history led by Knox County Health Department Educator Mike Whitaker.

The program is free and open to all. Feel free to bring a brown bag lunch. Refreshments will be provided. For additional information, visit the main library at 201 N. Mulberry St.; call 740-392-BOOK (2665), ext. 243; visit; or email
