MOUNT VERNON — It’s not too late to get a flu shot. Flu vaccine will be available during the monthly late clinic Tuesday at the Knox County Health Department. The agency will be open until 7 p.m.
Flu vaccine is available as shots for adults and children, ages 6 months to 2 years, and nasal spray for children, ages 2 to 18 years.
The health department offers extended hours on the third Tuesday of every month.
Services available during the extended hours include birth and death records, water and well permits, water testing, food service permits and WIC nutritional counseling.
Medical clinic services available during the extended hours include TB tests, immunizations for both children and adults, including Tetanus shots and all shots required for school; rapid testing for HIV and STD counseling.
The dental clinic will be open for scheduled appointments.
