MOUNT VERNON — Despite snow on the ground and cold temperatures, downtown’s First Friday tradition continues throughout the winter months (November through April).
January’s First Friday will take place Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. (individual store closing times may vary).
Though there will not be outdoor activities on the Public Square, visitors may find as many as 20 downtown businesses to explore during winter First Fridays, many with special discounts.
Local music group “The Noodlers” will be playing live at Flapper’s starting at 9 p.m.
First Fridays are coordinated by the Heritage Centre Association, whose mission is to create and enhance the economic, historic and social development of the central business district and downtown Mount Vernon. Learn more at www.VisitDowntownMountVernon.com or by calling (740) 393-1481.
