MOUNT VERNON — The Mount Vernon High School baseball team will hold a clinic in February and March at the high school gymnasium. First- through third-graders will participate on Feb. 17; fourth- through sixth- on Feb. 24; and seventh- and eighth- on March 3. Clinics will be run from 2 to 5 p.m. each day. The clinic features detailed hitting instruction, drills for individual batters to work on at home, live batting practice and a clinic T-shirt for each participant. There will instruction in fielding, throwing and pitching. Instructors include the Mount Vernon coaching staff and players. There is a fee, and all proceeds benefit the Mount Vernon baseball team.
