MOUNT VERNON — The Knox County Republican Party will hold its 2013 Lincoln Reagan Day Dinner, Wednesday, March 13, at The Station Break, formerly Dan Emmett Conference Center, 150 Howard St., Mount Vernon.
There will be a social hour from 6 to 7 p.m. with a cash bar, and dinner at 7 p.m. The keynote speaker will be Lt. Gov. Mary Taylor. Taylor was sworn in as Ohio’s 65th Lieutenant Governor on Jan. 10, 2011, the same day Gov. John R. Kasich named her to lead CSI Ohio – the “Common Sense Initiative” to reform Ohio’s regulatory policies, as well as to serve as the director of the Ohio Department of Insurance. These two assignments dovetail together and provide the perfect launching pad for working to make Ohio a jobs – and business – friendly state.
The agenda will include introduction of elected officials, introduction of candidates for the primary elections, legislative update and announcement of the Republican of the year.
There will be door prizes. For tickets contact Cindy Higgs, 740-392-8346 or chiggs@embarqmail.com.
