MOUNT VERNON — Family to Family — a NAMI Family Education Program — will take place from 6 to 8:30 p.m. each Monday, March 4 through May 20. The classes will be held in the office of NAMI Knox Licking County Ohio, at 15 E. Vine St. (use front entrance), Mount Vernon. Registration is required.
Family to Family is free for family members, partners and friends of individuals with major depression, bipolar disorder (manic depression), schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorder, borderline personality disorder, panic disorder, and obsessive compulsive disorder, or other major mental health disorders and co-occurring brain disorder/addictive disorder.
It is a series of 12 weekly classes structured to help caregivers understand and support individuals with serious mental illness while maintaining their own well-being.
This course will help individuals learn to cope successfully with a major challenge in their life, and that, in turn, will help their loved ones as they work toward recovery.
