CENTERBURG — The Centerburg United Methodist Church will provide “The Path of Holy Week” as part of the church’s preparation for Easter. Featuring the Stations of the Cross, this self-guided journey of devotion and prayer through Holy Week will be open to the church family and the community. The journey will offer the chance to walk the path with Jesus from Palm Sunday all the way to the Tomb.
This is an interactive experience that provides places for to reflect on how Jesus’ journey applies to life today.
The doors of the church will be open at 11:00 a.m. on Maundy Thursday, Mar. 28. Thursday evening will conclude with a time of worship beginning at 7 p.m. Special music will be provided by organist Mary Lou Dixon, pianist Donna Ufferman and the Chancel Choir under the direction of Susan Oswalt.
Lenten visitors and readers will also be part of the evening service. The sacrament of Holy Communion will be served in the Upper Room by the Rev. Vicky Kelley.
The Good Friday schedule will also open at 11:00 a.m. and conclude at 7 p.m.
