MOUNT VERNON — The Road Home will perform Friday at 7 p.m. at Sips Coffee House.
The Road Home is an Ashland-based duo made up of Jason and Lydia Nowakowski, locally known both for their original material and for their acoustic interpretations of folk, country, soul and pop songs. Their repertoire encompasses a diverse range of styles and sounds, from 1960s rock and folk to modern indie and alt-country styles.
As the primary vocalist, Lydia’s country and gospel influence blend with modern indie sounds, supported by the acoustic guitar and backing vocals of Jason.
The Road Home has played at various venues and events in Northeastern Ohio including Brumby’s Coffeehouse and Pizzeria, What’s 4 Dessert, Aromas, Java House, Relax-Its Just Coffee, Global Gallery Columbus, Local Roots Market, Downtown Perk and Dessert Oasis, Ashland Christian Health Center Benefit and the Hospice of North Central Ohio Community Corn Roast. The Road Home is currently working on expanding their repertoire of original material, as well as pursuing recording an album.
