GAMBIER — The Village of Gambier will celebrate the Fourth of July with a parade, picnic and presentation of the Citizen of the Year award.
Anyone wanting to participate in the parade should be at the Campus Auto & Tire Station, on Brooklyn Street, at 10:45 a.m. Entries may be decorated in any manner, as there is no special theme for the parade.
The Citizen of the Year award will be presented at 11 a.m. in front of Farr Hall and the parade will then begin.
Following the parade is the Community-wide picnic at the Community Center Park. Residents are asked to bring a covered dish to share and their own table service. There will be door prizes and contests with prizes for the kids.
