MOUNT VERNON — Do you know the difference between an “app” and an apple? Ever wonder what all the fuss is about to have the “latest app” or wonder where you can find the latest “app”? Join Technology Educator Jessica Horlacher as she presents a program, “What is an App?” on Tuesday, Oct. 22, at 7 p.m., at the Public Library of Mount Vernon and Knox County, 201 N. Mulberry Street, Mount Vernon.
Participants will be able to see where the latest apps can be found and discover the top apps no one can live without. Apps can help edit photos, play video games, listen to music or read an e-book, show what stars are above you, and provide the latest calorie counts and exercise tips for the health conscious.
The program is free and open to the public. For additional information, contact Horlacher at the main library at 740-392-BOOK (2665) Ext. 259 or visit www.knox.net.
