John T. Higgins He was born Nov. 2, 1955, the son of Melvin and Dorothy (Blubaugh)
Higgins. He was employed by the Department of Defense Naval Base in Jacksonville,
Fla. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral Mass will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. Luke Catholic Church in Danville the Rev. F. Richard Snoke as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Luke Cemetery. Calling hours are Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the church and until service time on Tuesday. The Fischer Funeral Home in Danville is handling arrangements. Helen F. Hopkins She was born May 23, 1921, in Mount Vernon to Ernest S. and Lucille (Guynn) Hopkins. She was a member of the Gay Street United Methodist Church. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, James Robert Hopkins. There will be no calling hours. Graveside service will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Bloomfield Cemetery with the Rev. Carol Topping officiating. The North-Dilley Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice. Linden W. Reynolds He was born in Morrow County on Feb. 6, 1914, to Elmer William and Mary Ida (Kershner) Reynolds. He had been a resident of Delaware County since 1962, coming from Morrow County. He was a farmer and attended Fargo Wesleyan Church. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Lucille E. (Bronson) Reynolds, whom he married Jan. 7, 1946, in Mount Gilead; son, Jimmy Reynolds of Marengo; grandson, Jared Reynolds of Marengo; great-grandsons, Logan, Austin and Colton; and nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded by a brother, Frank; and two sisters, Ilo Reynolds

Stamm He was born Sept. 16, 1928, in Milford Township, Knox County, to Walter and Blanche (Moreland) Stamm. He attended school in Chesterville and graduated in 1946 from Johnsville High School. He attended The Ohio State University where he was a member of the ROTC. Dale retired from Diamond Bathurst Glass Co. in 1986 after 22 years of service. He is survived by his wife, Elnora H. (Heimlich) Stamm, to whom he had been married 52 years; two sisters, Margaret Ashton and Georgia Pribonic, both of Mount Vernon; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by two infant sons, John David Stamm and Carlos Berkley Stamm. There will be no calling hours. A private family service will be held at a later date. Williams He was born Oct. 17, 1926, in Mansfield to Louis and Lillian (Reed) Williams Sr. During World War II, he served with the U.S. Navy. He was a member of Robert L. Castor Post 5101 of the VFW, and the Lexington Senior-Civic Center. He worked 14 years with Westinghouse and then 24 years with the Tappan Co., retiring in 1982. He is survived by his wife, Esther Pauline (Augustine) Williams; their children, Larry Williams of Walters, Okla., Diane Bartlett of Mount Vernon and Gary Williams of St. John’s Newfoundland, Canada; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a brother, Louis William Williams Jr. of Fort Myers, Fla.; a sister Mary Maglott of Old Town, Fla. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra Lee Shade. Friends may call Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 and 8 p.m. in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home, Mansfield, where a Christian prayer service will be at 8 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be offered Tuesday at 10 a.m. in St. Peter’s Catholic Church, celebrated by the Rev. Herbert Weber. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Memorial Park, with graveside military honors by Richland County Joint Veterans Council. |
