Beverly L. Carr
BELLVILLE — Beverly L. Carr, 63, of Bellville died Jan. 18, 2005, in Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus.

She was born July 25, 1941, in Millersburg to Lawrence and Sylvia (Sells) Kline. Beverly lived in the Lucas area 20 years prior to moving to her rural Butler home 10 years ago.

She is survived by her husband, Richard A. “Dick” Carr, whom she married Nov. 26, 1963; her children, Donald Vulgamore of Ashland, Shari Leech and Lois Temple of Butler, and Richard Carr of Ashland; seven grandchildren; a sister, Barbara Reed of Big Prairie; three brothers, Larry Kline and Roger Kline, both of Butler, and Nelson Kline of Loudonville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Mitchell R. Carr; and a brother, Paul Kline.

The family will receive friends today from 5 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from noon to 2 p.m. in the Bellville Snyder Funeral Home, where funeral will be at 2 p.m. Pastor Ken Kinley will officiate. Burial will follow in Bunkerhill Cemetery.

Christopher Harstine
ATLANTA, Ga. — Christopher Todd Harstine, 37, of Atlanta, Ga., died Jan. 16, 2005, at his residence.

He was born March 13, 1967, in Mount Vernon to Richard and Rebecca (Ridgway) Harstine. He was an interior designer, owning Christopher Harstine & Co. Interiors.

He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Rebecca (Ronald) Lock of Danville; father and stepmother, Richard (Elizabeth) Harstine of Troy; a brother, Jeffery (Lisa) Harstine of West Milton; nieces and nephews, Chelsea, Annalesa, Brandon and Heath Harstine of West Milton; maternal grandparents, Rodney and Faith Ridgway of Danville; paternal grandparent, Raymond and Florence Harstine of Utica; a special aunt, Mary Lee Kirk of Howard; several aunts, uncles, cousins, stepbrothers, stepsisters, stepnieces and stepnephews.

The funeral will be Friday at 11 a.m. at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville, where visitation will be Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Friday until service time. The Rev. Lloyd Miller will officiate. Burial will be in Workman Cemetery at Danville.

Oma R. Miller
CUYAHOGA FALLS — Oma Rachel Miller, 90, formerly of Chesterville, went home on Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2005, at the Cuyahoga Falls General Hospital.

She was born May 20, 1914, in Lindside, W.Va., the daughter of Milton and Hallie Virginia (Ford) Lively and had been a resident of Chesterville for 34 years. She was retired from J.B. Foote Foundry Co. in Fredericktown and was a member of the Waterford United Methodist Church. Oma was a very loving and strong person who touched many lives through her kindness and generosity. Her love of making homemade dolls brought joy to hundreds of children and adults for 35 years. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by three loving daughters, Betty (Jack) Moore of Stow, Carol Burnett of Lexington, S.C., and Brenda (Mark) Corley of Irmo, S.C.; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard E. Miller; a daughter, Shelby Jean Miller; a sister, Anna Robinson; and two brothers, Roan Lively and Tom Lively.

Friends may call Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Snyder Funeral Home, Fredericktown. A funeral service will be Friday at 11 a.m. at the Waterford United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Dale Sutton officiating. Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery at Chesterville.

FREDERICKTOWN — Bernard F. Sapp, 77, of Pinkley Road, Fredericktown, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2005, at The Laurels of Mount Vernon.

Elmer Tomblin Sr.
CENTERBURG — Elmer Tomblin Sr., 78, of Ohio 314, Centerburg, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2005, at Mount Carmel St. Ann’s Hospital in Westerville.

He was born Oct. 17, 1926, in Wayne County, W.Va., to Robert and Cora (Spry) Tomblin. Mr. Tomblin retired in 1981 after 30 years of employment with Pittsburgh Plate Glass Co. He served in the U.S. Marines during the Korean conflict.

He is survived by his five sons, Terry (Lori) Tomblin of Wakeman, Timothy (Lori) Tomblin of Marengo, and Jerry (Tammie) Tomblin, Elmer Tomblin Jr. and Samuel Tomblin, all of Centerburg; three daughters, Debra Snow of Sparta, Cora (Eric) Schirtzinger of Cardington and Jennifer (Paul) Beach of Marion, 18 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three sisters, Ethel (George) Ramey of Zephyrhills, Fla., Esta (Bob) Watson of Wayne, W.Va., and Stella Coleman of Zephyrhills, Fla.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Genevieve Tomblin; a grandson, Jonathon Moskus; a brother, Paul Tomblin; and three sisters, Lorene Spence, Lucille Ramey and Thelma Tomblin.

Garnet Treen
SOUTH GATE, Calif. — Garnet ( Mickey ) Treen, 84, formerly of Danville, passed away at her home in South Gate, Calif., on Saturday, Jan. 15, 2005.

She is survived by two sons, Allen Treen of South Gate, Calif., and Charles Treen of Danville; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Conard, in 1985.
