Irene R. Glass
MARENGO — Irene R. Glass, 102, died Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2003, at
her home in Marengo.
She was born Dec. 29, 1901, in Dunkirk, Ohio, resided in Columbus from 1946 to 1975, when she moved to Marengo. Irene worked as a federal civil servant for almost 30 years as a contract purchaser retiring from the DSCS in Columbus. She was a member of the Marengo Church of Christ. She was an accomplished pianist and seamstress, and enjoyed crocheting.
Surviving are a daughter, Elma (Rev. Garrard) Haubrich of Columbus; son, Everett (Maria) Cox of Marengo; six grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and a brother-in-law, John Cox of Columbus.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Ethel Conrad, in 1997; a grandson; and four brothers and sisters.
Friends may call Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. in the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Ohio 229, Marengo, where service will be Monday at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow at 2 p.m. in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Kathleen L. Gray
COLUMBUS — Kathleen L. (Hardy) Gray, 45, of Columbus, formerly
of Sunbury, died Dec. 31, 2003, at St. Ann’s Hospital, Westerville.
She was born Aug. 4, 1958, in Newark, and was a 1976 graduate of Big Walnut High School. Kathleen had formerly worked for the Centerburg Gazette.
She leaves at home her husband of 17 years, Tony Gray; daughter, Amanda (Brian) Crowl-Lowe of Grove City; two grandchildren; mother, Thelma R. Hardy of Sunbury; parents-in-law, Margie and Jack Cremeans of Huntington, W.Va.; brothers, Billy Mack (Andrea) Hardy of Wayne County, W.Va., Keith (Debbie) Hardy of Croton, Kenny (Sherry) Hardy of Johnstown, Kendall Wayne Hardy of Sunbury; sisters, Debbie Gayle of Charleston, W.Va., Kenna “Kae” Wallace of Sunbury, Karen Hardy of Westerville; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth M. Hardy; and a grandson, Tyler Jordan Lowe.
Friends may call today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Ohio 3 at 61, Sunbury, where service will be Saturday at 2:30 p.m. Interment will be in Sunbury Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the family.

MOUNT VERNON — Martha McCaslin, 70, of Mount Vernon passed away
Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2003, at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus.

Frances A. Palskey
FREDERICKTOWN — Frances A. Palskey, 93, of Fredericktown, formerly
of Garfield Heights, died Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2003.
Mrs. Palskey was born Jan. 19, 1910, in Braddock, Pa., to Frank and Anna (Kasicky) Bucko. For many years she had been manager of Hough Bakery in Maple Heights. She was a member of St. Monica’s Catholic Church in Garfield Heights, where she had been active with St. Monica’s Ladies Guild.
Surviving are her two daughters, Phyllis (Robert) Brantley of Fredericktown
and Irene Varhola of Westerville; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband,
John Paul Palskey; five sisters; and a brother.
A Mass of Christian burial will be Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Monica’s Catholic Church in Garfield Heights. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery at Cleveland. The Snyder Funeral Home in Fredericktown is in charge of arrangements.
