Jerry Graham
MOUNT VERNON — Jerry Graham, 73, of Mount Vernon died Monday, April 12,
2004, at the Knox Community Hospital following a brief illness.
He was born May 31, 1930, in Detroit, Mich., to Darcy and Grace (Kelly) Graham and moved to Mount Vernon 35 years ago from Columbus. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War, and for the past 36 years was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Mount Vernon.
Surviving are his wife, Marilyn (Finnegan) Graham, whom he married May 10, 1958; his son, Kent (Gwen) Graham of Hilliard; four daughters, Karma (John) Wilson, Kyle Adams and Kara (Brad) Green, all of Mount Vernon, and Korrine (Frank) Rowe of Dublin; 14 grandchildren; and his sister, Leah Fahey of Ontario, Canada.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Jim Adams; and his brother, Lester Graham.
Friends may call today from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, where rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. A Mass of resurrection will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Mount Vernon. The Rev. Ted Thomas will be celebrant. Burial with military honors by the Knox County Joint Veterans Council will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Mount Vernon.

W.E. ‘Bill’ Grosscup
MOUNT VERNON — William Edward “Bill” Grosscup, 71, of Mount
Vernon went to be with his Lord on Monday, April 12, 2004.
He was born Nov. 20, 1932, in Zanesville to Lawrence and Thelma (Lawyer) Grosscup. He was a 1951 graduate of Zanesville High School and had lived in the Mount Vernon area since 1963. Mr. Grosscup served with the U.S. Army from 1956 to 1958 and was retired as a distributor for the 7UP Bottling Co. Mr. Grosscup was an active member of the First Church of God in Mount Vernon.
Surviving are his wife, Betty Jane (Somerville) Grosscup, whom he married
Feb. 24, 1952; four sons, William E. “Butch” Grosscup of Dayton, Barry
D. (Lynn) Grosscup and Bryan D. (Gina) Grosscup, both of Gambier, and Bradley
A. Grosscup of Mount Vernon; his daughter-in-law, Linda Grosscup of Howard; 11
grandchildren; his brother, Jimmy (Betty Lou) Grosscup of Zanesville; and four
sisters, Patty (Don) Sheppard, Marlene (Richard) Hoskinson and Jean (Lawrence)
Lanning, all of Zanesville, and Carol Lee (Richard) Lahom of Cincinnati.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Bruce D. Grosscup; and
a brother, Richard Grosscup.
Friends may call Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home in Mount Vernon. Funeral service will be Friday at 1 p.m. at the First Church of God, 10 Pine St., Mount Vernon. The Rev. William Fulda will officiate. Burial will follow in Frazeysburg Cemetery.
