Mary E. Smith
DANVILLE — Mary Emoline Smith, 93, of Danville died Tuesday, May 4, 2004, at Sunset View Care Center at Millersburg.

She was born Nov. 12, 1910, in Loudonville to John L. and May (Durbin) Smith. She was employed at Flxible in Loudonville during World War II. She was a member of St. Luke Catholic Church in Danville and St. Like PCCW.

She is survived by her brother, Cosmas (Shelba) Smith of Danville; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Chadil; and four brothers, John, Theodore, Virgil and Raymond Smith.

Visiting hours will be today from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville, with a Christian wake service at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be Friday at 11 a.m. at St. Luke Catholic Church in Danville with the Rev. F. Richard Snoke as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Luke Cemetery.

June L. Summers
MOUNT VERNON — June L. Summers, 89, of Mount Vernon died Wednesday, May 5, 2004, at Knox Community Hospital. The North-Dilley Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

Dolores M. Wolfe
MOUNT VERNON — Dolores M. Wolfe, 82, of Country Club Retirement Campus, Mount Vernon, passed away Monday, May 3, 2004, at Knox Community hospital.

She was born Sept. 29, 1921, in Gambier, the daughter of George E. and Helen C. (Biggs) Ayers and was a lifelong resident of Gambier. She graduated from Gambier High School in 1939, managed a local grocery store during the war years, married, raised a family, and worked at Kenyon College for 18 years before her retirement in 1983. She was a longtime member of the Grove Church of Christ at Gambier and a charter member of the Fun Bunch Euchre Club, meeting over 50 years. She was active in Girl Scouts and Sunday school activities when her daughters were young and always made their friends welcome and comfortable in their home. She was a devoted daughter, wife and mother.

She is survived by two daughters, Susan (Thomas) Caceci of Blacksburg, Va., and Linda (Charles) Jackson of Circleville; two grandchildren, Aaron and Natalie Jackson of Circleville; and one sister, Mary (Hal) Henry of Milan.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Leo Wolfe; two brothers, Paul E. Ayers and George F. Ayers Jr.; and a sister, Margaret Anderson.

There will be a funeral Friday at 2 p.m. in the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, with Jerold Tear officiating. Friends may call from noon until time of the service. Interment will follow in Union Grove Cemetery.

Jazmin N. Wood
MOUNT VERNON — Jazmin Nichole Wood, infant daughter of Ashley Wood and William Wolfe of Mount Vernon, died Tuesday, May 4, 2004, at Children’s Hospital in Columbus. Jazmin was born May 3, 2004, at Knox Community Hospital in Mount Vernon.

Surviving besides her parents are her maternal grandparents, Michael and Shelia Mills of Mount Vernon; paternal grandparents, David and Raynell Sparks of Mount Vernon; and great-grandparents; aunts; uncles; cousins; and friends.

Graveside service will be Tuesday in Mound View Cemetery at Mount Vernon with Pastor Bill Fennell officiating. The Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home in Mount Vernon is in charge of arrangements.
