Florence I. Barton
MOUNT VERNON — Florence Irene Barton, 94, of Gambier Road, Mount Vernon,
passed away Friday, Sept. 24, 2004, at the Ohio Eastern Star Home.
She was born Aug. 11, 1910, in Mount Vernon to Clyde and Helen (Bennett) Smith and was a lifetime resident of the Mount Vernon area. Florence was a member of the Liberty Chapel United Methodist Church where she was a member of the U.M.W.
She is survived by a son, Sidney (Judith) Barton of Cincinnati; two daughters, Carolyn (John) Miller of Bay Village and Elizabeth (James) Noe of Gahanna; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Leland Barton; three brothers, Ralph Smith, George Smith and Joseph Smith; and two sisters, Mary Lybarger and Margaret Schnebly.
Funeral will be Monday at 2 p.m. at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home with the Rev. Bev Hall officiating. Friends may call Monday from noon until the time of service. Interment will follow in Liberty Chapel Cemetery.

Irene J. Legros
MOUNT VERNON — Irene J. Legros, 99, of Mount Vernon died Friday, Sept. 24,
2004, at the Country Club Retirement Campus in Mount Vernon.
She was born Au. 22, 1905, in Matthews, Ind., to Ernest and Martha (Loriaux) Pacot. Mrs. Legros had been employed for many years at the law offices of Ayers, McDevit and Mayhew. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Mount Vernon and had been active with the bridge club of Mount Vernon for 60 years.
Surviving are her son, John (Linda) Legros of Gambier; three grandchildren, Joe Legros, Marc Legros and Kathy Legros.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Legros; and a sister, Fern Robison.
Friends may call Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home in Mount Vernon. A funeral Mass will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Mound View Cemetery.
