Marguerite Benedict
ASHLEY — Marguerite Benedict, 78, of Ashley died Monday, Dec. 6, 2004, at her home.

She was born Feb. 21, 1926, in Hyatts to Arthur and Florence (Johnston) Covrett.

Survived by son and daughter-in-law, Harry and Shirley Benedict of Ashley; a daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Lowell Morrow of Delaware; two grandsons, Charles F. and Bryan M.; and she was proud of her great-granddaughter, Caitlin. Also surviving are brothers, Harold, Norman and Russell Covrett, all of Delaware; sisters, Janet Jackson of Delaware and Carol Pharris of Florida; nieces; nephews; and longtime family friend, Terry Snyder.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Charles S. Benedict; a brother, Melvin; and sisters, Millie Levings, Delores Kroninger and Sandra Covrett.

Friends may call today from 5 to 7 p.m. at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Ohio 3 at 61, Sunbury, where service will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. The Rev. Linda Reid-Teele will officiate. Interment will follow in Green Mound Cemetery.

James Bowman
MOUNT VERNON — James E. Bowman, 81, of Mount Vernon passed away Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2004, at The Laurels of Mount Vernon.

He was born Dec. 18, 1922, in Newville, the son of Winfield Scott and Gladys (Bemiller) Bowman. Mr. Bowman was a 15-year veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during both World War II and the Korean conflict. He had been employed with Montgomery Ward in Baltimore, Md.

He is survived by three brothers, Harold “Jake” Bowman of Lexington, Hobart (Portia) Bowman of Mansfield and Dwight (Marilyn) Bowman of Bellville; three sisters, Ruth Cline of Centerburg, Thelma Stimmell of Ashland and Mary Alice Van Houten of Mount Vernon; several nieces and nephews; and an aunt, Mary Snavely of Lexington.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Dean Bowman.

There will be a graveside service with military honors on Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Bunker Hill Cemetery. These arrangements are under the care and direction of the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home.

Freddy A. Krinn
SUNBURY — Freddy A. Krinn, 54, of Sunbury died Tuesday afternoon, Dec. 7, 2004, in the hospice room of Grady Memorial Hospital.

He was born on Nov. 9, 1950, in Westerville to Joe and Mary (Coffill) Krinn. A U.S. Army veteran of Vietnam, he was a lifelong area resident and worked as a heavy equipment operator for Trucco Construction.

He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Phyllis “Bobbie” Krinn; children, Thedy (Dave) Braskett of Galena, Rexanna Lane of Sunbury, Lloyd (Julie) Lane of Westerville, Tina (Curt) Holycross of New Albany and Alvin Krinn of Sunbury; three grandchildren; two expected grandchildren; one great-grandson; brothers, Joe Krinn of Sunbury and Bob Krinn of Delaware; and sisters, Sharon Pearson of Longwood, Fla., and Karen Hendrickson of Westerville.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Graveside service was this morning in Sunbury Memorial Park with the Rev. Carol Weiss officiating. A gathering of friends took place at the family home following the service. Arrangements have been entrusted to the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home in Sunbury.

Rose Punt
MOUNT VERNON — Rose Punt, 60, of North Main Street, Mount Vernon, passed away Monday, Dec. 6, 2004, at the Rose Garden Nursing Home.

She was born on July 27, 1944, in New York, N.Y., to the late Edward and Eleanor (Lefkowitz) Punt.

She is survived by her close family and friends at the Rose Garden Nursing Home and special friends, Roger Zeigler of Mansfield, and Jeff and Pat Eno of Newark.

A graveside service will be held Thursday in Mound View Cemetery beginning at 10 a.m. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home.

Fernand R. Suain
MOUNT VERNON — Fernand R. Suain, 77, of Mount Vernon passed away Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2004, at Knox Community Hospital. Services will be under the care and direction of the Snyder Funeral Home in Mount Vernon.
