Donna M. Gamble
FREDERICKTOWN — Donna M. Gamble, 82, of Fredericktown died Saturday, Dec.
18, 2004, at the Knox Community Hospital in Mount Vernon.
She was born Oct. 18, 1922, in Knox County to Lloyd and Florence (Kunkle) Bechtel. She was a 1940 graduate of Fredericktown High School and had spent her lifetime in the Knox County area. Mrs. Gamble had been employed at the former A&P Grocery Store in Mount Vernon for 20 years and then was employed as a supervisor for the First-Knox National Bank in Mount Vernon for over 20 years, retiring in 1987. Following her retirement she returned to First-Knox National Bank part time for another 15 years finally retiring in 2002. Mrs. Gamble loved to sew, knit and crochet and was an avid reader. She was a member of the Ankenytown Grace Brethren Church.
Surviving are her husband, Darwin “Darb” Gamble, whom she married Sept. 15, 1957; her brother, William (Betty) Bechtel of Spring Hill, Fla.; her sister, Naomi (Fred) Leedy of Fredericktown; and many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and a great-great-niece.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her stepfather, William Cook; and two sisters, Jean Seymour and Oneta Bechtel.
Following Mrs. Gamble’s wishes there will be no calling hours or funeral services. Private burial will be in Ankenytown Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Snyder Funeral Home in Fredericktown.

Jeanette Gordon
MOUNT GILEAD — Jeanette Gordon, 80, of County Road 23, Mount Gilead, died
unexpectedly Thursday, Dec. 16, 2004, at the Craven Regional Medical Center in
New Bern, N.C.
She was born Jan. 25, 1924, in Dickinson, N.D., the daughter of Joseph and Anna (Trinka) Zastoupil. She served in the Women’s Army Auxiliary Corps during World War II. Jeanette operated the former Coffee Cup Restaurant in Chesterville and had worked for the Freeway Inn and the Chesterville Grocery.
Jeanette is survived by her husband, Ralph W. Gordon, whom she married May 7, 1943; a son, Rodney (Susan) Gordon of Smithfield, N.C.; two daughters, Donna Shea of Sugarland, Texas, and Diane Cagnon of Mount Gilead; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Kathryn Froehlich of Spokane, Wash.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Friends may call today from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Snyder Funeral Home in Mount Gilead. Pastor Joe Blevins will conduct funeral services there Tuesday at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.snyderfuneralhomes.com.
Wesley D. Williams
MOUNT GILEAD — Wesley D. Williams, 44, of Ohio 61, Mount Gilead, died Sunday,
Dec. 19, 2004, at his home.
Wes was born in Carmi, Ill., on Jan. 1, 1960, where he lived until moving to Mount Gilead in 1963.
Wes is survived by his wife Linda (Fate) Williams, whom he married May 3, 1986; his mother and step-father, Mary Lou (Mike) Lahman of Galion; two daughters, Wendi (Rob) Durham of Lewis Center and Whitney (Sam) Lautzenheiser of Marysville; a sister, Julie Williams of Mount Gilead; a nephew, Dustin; and two nieces, Cheyenne and Dakota.
His father, Donald R. Williams, preceded him in death in 1988.
The Revs. Bruce Hartley and Don Lockwood will conduct a memorial service Thursday at 11 a.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Rivercliff Cemetery in Mount Gilead.
