Bertha A. Pleister
CENTERBURG — Bertha A. (Tipton) Pleister, 98, of Centerburg died Monday,
Jan. 3, 2005, at Heartland of Centerburg Nursing Home.
She was born and raised in Morrow County, the daughter of Myron E. and Cora F. Tipton. She was a retired manager from Stark Altmeier Shoe Store in Columbus, and was a former active member of the Grace Baptist Church in Sunbury. Bertha was a former resident of Sunbury and moved to Centerburg in 1974.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Pleister.
Friends may call Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Morrow Bible Church, 423 County Road 204 (intersection of County Road 204 and County Road 15) in Centerburg, where service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Pastor Marvin Gassman will officiate. Graveside service and burial will be Friday at 11 a.m. in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Columbus.

Nellie Roberts
COCKEYSVILLE, Md. — A memorial service for Nellie May (Otten) Hoffman Roberts,
74, of Cockeysville, Md., will be conducted Sunday, Jan. 9, 2005, at 5 p.m. at
the Johnstown Church of God.
Mrs. Roberts entered heaven on Dec. 23, 2004.
She was born Nov. 4, 1930, to John and Nellie Otten.
Surviving are her two daughters, Betty (Phil) Langford of Whitehall, Md., and Rosetta (Jerry) Jackson of Utica; grandchildren, Jennifer (Mark) Keyser of Johnstown, Dawn Langford of Whitehall, Md., Joy Jackson of Utica, Jason Jackson of Utica, and Heather Langford of Whitehall, Md.; and great-grandchildren, Brayden and Cherish Keyser of Johnstown.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three husbands, Jake Hoffman, Charlie Roberts and Lawrence Roberts; two children, Mary Elizabeth Hoffman and Harry Jacob “Boy” Hoffman; her five brothers, John “Johnny” Otten, Walter “Leo” Otten, William “Wiggie” Otten, Martin “Pete” Otten and Louis “Corky” Otten; and by her pet dogs, Tinkerbell and Cookie.
