Clinton L. Burris
MOUNT VERNON — Clinton L. Burris, 94, of Mount Vernon died April 6, 2005,
at the Country Court Nursing Center.
He was born Sept. 17, 1910, in Mount Vernon to Harley and Sadie (Magill) Burris. He was a member of the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). He was retired from Pittsburg Plate Glass and Chattanooga Glass.
He is survived by one daughter, Annette (Wayne) Levers of Howard; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Beulah (Michaux) Burris; one son, Philip Burris; one brother, Virgil Burris; and two sisters, Estella Edminster and Mary Horn.
The funeral will be Friday at 2 p.m. in the North-Dilley Funeral Home, with the Rev Jamie Gump officiating. Burial will be in Mound View Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 1 p.m. until time of service.

Charles S. Conant
MOUNT VERNON — Charles S. Conant, 65, of Tucker Road, Mount Vernon, passed
away on Tuesday, April 5, 2005, at Knox Community Hospital. Friends may call Thursday
from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home, where funeral will be Friday
at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens.

Maleta I. Donovan
FREDERICKTOWN — Maleta I. Donovan, 89, of Fredericktown died Monday, April
4, 2005, at the Knox Community Hospital in Mount Vernon.
Maleta was born Feb. 27, 1916, in Chesterville to George and Ethel (Houle) Bouton and had lived her lifetime in the Chesterville, Fredericktown and Mount Vernon areas. She was a member of the First Church of God in Fredericktown.
Surviving are her daughter, Sally (Jerry) Myers of Fredericktown; her son, George R. “Dick” (Carol) Donovan of Fredericktown; five grandchildren, Twana (Glenn) Smith, Treva O’rourke, Cathy Donovan, Lori (Rod) Zolman, all of Fredericktown, and Steve Myers of Marion; eight great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents her husband, Roy Donovan, in 1986; and her brother, Robert Bouton, preceded her in death.
The funeral will be Friday a 10 a.m. in the Snyder Funeral Home in Fredericktown, where friends may call Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. The Rev. Richard Prater will officiate. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery at Chesterville.
