MOUNT VERNON — George D. Reed, 68, of Mount Vernon died May 3, 2005, at
Knox Community Hospital. The North-Dilley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Margaret R. Sheets
MARENGO — Margaret R. Sheets, 84, of Marengo died early Tuesday morning,
May 3, 2005, at Grady Memorial Hospital.
She was born March 14, 1921, in Franklin County to John M. and Margaret Ann (Ferrell) Fisher.
She is survived by a daughter, Patti (John) Lanum, and sons, Raymond (Dorothy) Sheets and Roger (Linda) Sheets, all of Marengo; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Howard (Ruth) Fisher of Marengo; and a sister, Mary Ann Pierce of Punta Gorda, Fla.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Blaine M. Sheets, in 1996; grandson, Craig Lanum; and brothers, Arthur, John, Herbert and Richard.
Friends may call today from 5 to 8 p.m. at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Ohio 229, Marengo, where funeral will be Thursday at 11 a.m. The Rev. Beverly Hall will officiate. Interment will follow in Marengo Cemetery.

Eunice E. Thompson
MOUNT VERNON — Eunice E. Thompson, 74, of Mount Vernon died May 3, 2005,
at the Country Club Retirement Campus.
She was born May 28, 1930, in Mercer County, Pa., to Mabon and Hazel (Reiser) Smith. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene. Eunice was the office manager for Rich Bastin, State Farm Insurance, for 20 years. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star OES Knox Chapter 236, Women of the Moose Chapter 100 and VFW Post 4027.
Eunice is survived by a daughter, Sherrie Thompson of Delaware; two sons, Mark Thompson and Rick (Kathy) Thompson of Mount Vernon; two grandsons, Sean and Ryan Thompson; and a sister, Linda (Edwin) Buchanan of Newton Falls.
Besides her parents, and her grandparents, Ernest and Maude Smith, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard “Dick” Thompson; and a brother, George Smith.
Friends may call Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the North-Dilley Funeral Home, where funeral will be Friday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Mikel Norris officiating. Burial will be in Moundview Cemetery.
