Martha R. Amsbaugh
FREDERICKTOWN — Martha R. Amsbaugh, 86, of Fredericktown passed away Saturday,
Aug. 13, 2005, at the Whispering Hills Care Center in Mount Vernon.
She was born April 17, 1919, in Lexington, the daughter of Floyd and Ollie (Martin) Swank. Martha had attended the Grace Brethren Church in Ankenytown.
She is survived by two sisters, Byrdella (Dale) Evans of Cardington and Ruth Truex of Fredericktown; and a sister-in-law, Eulalah Swank. Also surviving are many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lowell Amsbaugh; four sisters, Levona (Ernest) Porter, Gladys (Fred) Tyson, Eileen Swank and Joan (Ted) Schwartz; and two brothers, Harry Swank and John Swank.
Friends may call on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Snyder Funeral Home in Fredericktown. A funeral service will be held there Wednesday at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in the Ankenytown Cemetery.

Beverly A. Carson
MOUNT VERNON — Beverly A. (Thompson) Carson, 64, of Mount Vernon died Aug.
12, 2005, at her son’s home.
She was born March 1, 1941, in Lock to Harold and Mary (Myers) Chrisman. She was formerly employed by the Centerburg Gazette and Ellis Brothers Concrete. She was a member of the Lock Federated church where she was a member of the PPR committee and a member of the Lock Golden Circle.
Surviving are a son, David A. (Lynn) Thompson of Mount Vernon; a daughter, Susan L. (Allen) Lester of Mount Vernon; grandchildren, Zechariah Thompson, Dillon and Joshua Lester, John Hillyer and Michael Powell; six great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Bob and Rosemary Stokes of Newark, Shirley Riley of Wilmington, and Jim and Betty Carson of Kentucky; an aunt, Marge (Gordon) Shuff of Centerburg; and many special friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Ronald N. Carson.
Friends may call Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Johnson-Melick-Moreland Funeral Home, 49 W. Church St., Centerburg, where service will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. The Rev. Rob Law will officiate. Interment will be in Lock Cemetery.

Christopher E. Eyster
MOUNT VERNON — Christopher E. Eyster, 48, of Mount Vernon died Sunday, Aug.
14, 2005, at the Heartland of Centerburg.
Chris was born Nov. 11, 1956, in Knox County, attended Mount Vernon High School and spent his lifetime in the Mount Vernon area. He was self-employed as a small-engine repairman, and was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman.
Surviving are his mother, Charlene (Welker) Eyster of Mount Vernon; his daughter, Angie; grandson, Justin; his brother, Dennis (Pam) Eyster of Williamstown, W.Va.; and two sisters, Deanna Rardin of Ashley and Ellen Staats of Mount Vernon.
Chris was preceded in death by his father, Dean Edgar Eyster.
Friends may call Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home in Mount Vernon. Graveside services will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Mound View Cemetery.
