Sam Ritchey
WORTHINGTON — Sam Ritchey, 92, of Worthington passed away Wednesday, Sept.
21, 2005, at The Laurels of Norworth, in Worthington.
A longtime resident of Worthington, Sam retired from the State of Ohio, State Hospital after 20 years of service as chief pharmacist. Prior to this, he worked for the OSU Hospital Pharmacy. Sam was a graduate of Fredericktown High School Class of 1931, and The Ohio State University’s College Pharmacy Class of 1940. An avid Buckeye, Sam played in the OSU Marching Band and earned his varsity letter playing soccer for Ohio State. He married Hope L. Kersh on Aug. 3, 1937.
Sam is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Amina (Tuniri) Ritchey; and his brothers, David, Ameen and Sperry.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Hope K. Ritchey; his daughters; Rebecca Ritchey Price and Sally Ritchey Young, both of Worthington; his grandchildren; Wendy (Jason) Avrett of Orlando, Fla., and Scott (Michelle) Young of Gahanna; his brother, William (Mary Ellen) Ritchey of South Euclid; and his many nieces, nephews and friends.
Family will receive friends Saturday, Sept. 24, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Snyder Funeral Home in Fredericktown. Graveside service will be held Sunday, Sept. 25, at 1 p.m. in Harmon Cemetery, Gilboa, Ohio, with the Rev. Julie Kling officiating.

Delores M. Winstead
MOUNT VERNON — Delores M. Winstead, 91, of Mount Vernon went home to be
with the Lord on Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2005, at the Ohio Eastern Star Home.
She was born March 14, 1914, in Columbus to Elmer and Lillian (Geminden) Schmidt. Delores was a former member of the Columbus Baptist Temple. She was a lady who had a fine taste for good chocolate and she was an avid fan of “Everyone Loves Raymond.” Delores was a wonderful mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her devoted and loving children, Paul L. (Delilah) Winstead Jr. and Paulette Calaway; grandchildren, Sarah (Brian) Mickley, Joe Winstead, Roberta (Bill) Martin, Annette (Joseph) Murphy, Holly, Bobby and Curtiss Grove; sister, Elmyra (Jim) Culp; many great-grandchildren including Brittany and Bridget Mickley; and many nieces and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 61 years, Paul L. Winstead Sr.; sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Al Dean.
A funeral service will be Monday, Sept. 26, at Rutherford-Corbin Funeral Home, 515 High St., Worthington, with her son, Paul L. Winstead Jr., officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Rest Memorial Estates, Reynoldsburg. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
