COLUMBUS — Nicholas Butera, 66, died at Kobacher House on Friday, Sept. 30, 2005, at 11:40 a.m.
Nicholas was a kind and gentle spirit always helping others. Beloved by his friends and co-workers. He was a super salesman for United Insurance.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rose and John Butera; father-in-law, Bud Francis; and fishing buddies, Smitty, Bob Marvin, Bob Fisher, McKinley.
Surviving are his loving wife, Sharon; mother-in-law, Mick; children and stepchildren, Nicky, Mike, Mitch, Lisa and Tony; spouses Michelle, Candyce, Vanessa; brother, John; sisters-in-law, Bonnie, Barb, Sandi and Carolyn; brothers-in-law, Richard, Ted and Jon; grandchildren, Tyler, Carlye, Mindy, Mike, McKenzie and Mason; 15 nieces; 14 nephews; 13 great-nieces; and 14 great-nephews.
Visitation will be Friday, Oct. 7, from 5 to 8 p.m., and on Saturday, Oct. 8, from noon to 2 p.m. at the Schoedinger North Chapel, 5554 Karl Road. Service will be performed by Deacon Jim Rouse on Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Schoedinger North Chapel.

Gary R. Patrick
COLUMBUS — Gary R. Patrick, 60, of Columbus died Saturday, Oct. 1, 2005, at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus.
Mr. Patrick retired from Medco Health and was a 1962 graduate of Centerburg High School.
He is survived by a sister, Nancy (Jess) McLarnan of Centerburg; his partner, Mark Letts of Columbus; nephews, Randy (Angie) McLarnan and Eric (Michelle) McLarnan; a niece, Toni (David) Wynn; six great-nieces and great-nephews; an aunt, Margaret (Delbert) Eagle; and numerous family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Helen Patrick.
Memorial service will be Saturday, Oct. 8, at 2 p.m. at the Johnson-Melick-Moreland Funeral Home, 49 W. Church St., Centerburg, with visitation one hour prior to service. Pastor Mary Miller will officiate. Private inurnment will be in Eastview Cemetery, Centerburg.
