Virginia J. Rhodes
BELLVILLE — Virginia Jane Rhodes, 88, formerly of Bellville and Lexington,
died Jan. 11, 2006, in Mansfield MedCentral.
She was born Oct. 3, 1917, in Mansfield to Karl F. and Louella (Fern) Hunger, and remained a Bellville resident most of her life. Virginia had worked at Richland Hospital, and retired from Therm-O-Disc. She was a member of New Life Church of Christ.
She is survived by two daughters, Joan Carpenter of Mount Vernon and Carol (Ralph) Walker of Lexington; two sons, Stanley (Sandra) Rhodes and Jerry (Marilyn) Rhodes, both of Bellville; a daughter-in-law, Sarah Rhodes of Columbus; 13 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George R. Rhodes; a son, Willie R. Rhodes; two sisters, Helen Elliott and Rose Marie Manley; and a brother, Karl Hunger.
Visitation will be Sunday, Jan. 15, from 2 to 5 p.m. in the Bellville Snyder Funeral Home, where the funeral will be Monday at 11 a.m. Pastor Dan Noe will officiate. Burial will follow in Bellville Cemetery.

Robert T. Ross
LOUDONVILLE — Robert T. Ross, 81, of Loudonville died Thursday morning,
Jan. 12, 2006, in Colonial Manor Health Care Center, Loudonville, after an extended
illness.
Mr. Ross was born March 13, 1924, in Knox County, the son of Ben and Mary (Brown) Ross. He had lived in the Howard area most of his life, moving to Loudonville in 1997. He farmed all of his life and he was a 22-year employee of The Flxible Corp., retiring in 1988. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving in the 605th Field Artillery. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Loudonville.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth McGuire Ling Ross, whom he married April 7, 1990; a daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Mike Dunn of Prospect; a foster daughter and husband, Sandy and Larry Beckholt of Mount Vernon; two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert R. and Sharon Ross of Perrysville, and Donald and Lavonne Ross of Leesburg, Ga.; three stepdaughters and sons-in-laws, Beverly and Robert Wiles of Wooster, Cheryl and Lyle Gray of Loudonville, and Diane and Ralph Brechheisen of Perrysville; a sister and brother-in-law, Virginia and John Burkholder of Martinsburg; 17 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Evelyn Cly Ross, on July 12, 1987; two brothers, Harry and John Ross; and a sister, Mona Carter.
Funeral service will be Monday, Jan. 16, at 1 p.m. in First Baptist Church, Loudonville, with the Rev. John Fitch officiating. Burial, with military honors provided by the American Legion and VFW, will be in St. John Cemetery, Mount Vernon. Friends may call Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. in the Byerly-Lindsey Funeral Home, Loudonville.
