Mabel L. Fairchild
MOUNT VERNON — Mabel L. Fairchild, 92, of Yauger Road, Mount Vernon, passed
away Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2006, at Country Club Retirement Campus in Mount Vernon.
She was born Oct. 18, 1913, in Olive Hill, Ky., to Arthur and Flora (Abbott) Perry. Mabel was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene and had worked as a clerk for Carroll’s Department Store in Newark.
She is survived by her loving family: two sons, Dr. Alan (Phyliss) Fairchild and Richard (Jewell) Fairchild, both of Mount Vernon; five grandchildren, Bryan Fairchild, Janelle Pool, Lisa Chacey, Brenda Daubenmire and Scott Fairchild; and 13 great-grandchildren, Madison and Natalie Fairchild, Tristan Bailey, Gunnar Pool, Matt, Megan and Mollie Chacey, Drew, Kara, Jenna and Amy Daubenmire, Justin and Jarrod Fairchild.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Holden Fairchild; three brothers, Raymond, Ralph and Gerald Perry; and four sisters, Ina Foor, Elsie Redding, Alma Woodruff and Alice Campbell.
