Sarah ‘Ruth’ McCutchen
MOUNT VERNON — Sarah “Ruth” McCutchen, 94, of New Delaware Road,
Mount Vernon, passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2006, at the Country Club Retirement
Campus in Mount Vernon. The arrangements are under the care and direction of the
Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home.
Dorothy R. Patterson
MOUNT VERNON — Dorothy R. Patterson, 88, of Mount Vernon died March 6, 2006,
at Knox Community Hospital.
She was born Aug. 26, 1917, in Blawknox, Pa., to John Irvin and Phyllis Ruth (Hays) Rea. She worked for many years as a secretary for Kenyon College. She retired to pursue her interests in coin collecting and quilting.
She is survived by a sister, Roberta L. Luli of Venice, Fla.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William R. Patterson, in 1990; and a sister, June Phyllis Lustman.
A memorial service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the First Congregational United Church of Christ with the Rev. Keith Stuart Ph.D. officiating. The North-Dilley Funeral Home assisted the family with the arrangements.
Nancy K. Stobart
LEESBURGH, Fla. — Nancy K. Stobart, 59, of Leesburgh, Fla., passed away
March 27, 2006, at Leesburgh Hospital.
She was born Aug. 5, 1946, in Mount Vernon, Ohio, to Howard and Coreta (Rinehart) Steurer. She was a homemaker and member of the Eagles in Leesburgh. She also liked to play bingo.
She is survived by her husband, Harold Stobart; three sons, Larry Joe (Gale) Norman of Leesburgh, Fla., Randy Facemyer of Commerce, Ga., and Travis Stobart of Brooksville, Fla.; one daughter, Holly (David) Crane of Commerce, Ga.; three sisters, Patricia (Steurer) Hayes, Ceetta (Chuck) Antill and Carolyn (Steurer) Overturf; several nieces and nephews; and two granddaughters, Crissy of Commerce, Ga., and Brandy Facemyer of Mexico.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Heidi Stobart; a sister, Phyliss Jean Steurer; and a half sister, Mary Lou Doup.
There will be a small family service. The family asks that contributions be made to Hospice of Knox County, 17700 Coshocton Road, Mount Vernon, OH 43050. The Beyers Funeral Home in Leesburgh, Fla., is in charge of the arrangements.
