Sheila A. Bostater
CENTERBURG — Sheila A. Bostater, 49, of Centerburg and formerly of Fulton,
Ohio, died on Friday evening, April 14, 2006, at the Knox Community Hospital in
Mount Vernon.
She was born in Montpelier, Ohio, on Feb. 2, 1957, the daughter of the late Harry and Olive (Darnell) Bostater. She worked for New Hope Industries in Mount Vernon.
Sheila is survived by two brothers, Michael Bostater and Stan Bostater, both of Edgerton; four sisters, Olga Santos of Bryan, Marie Douglas of Spicewood, Texas, Sharon Blevins of Sherwood and Brenda Wheeler of Montpelier; an uncle, Roy Barrett of Cambridge, England; several nieces and nephews; and her friends and caregivers from the Canterbury Villa Group Home.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at the Canterbury Villa Group Home in Centerburg. Arrangements are in care of the Snyder Funeral Home in Mount Gilead.

Patricia Davis
ZEPHYR HILLS, Fla. — Patricia Davis, 68, of Zephyr Hills, Fla., and Mount
Vernon, Ohio, passed away Sunday, April 16, 2006, at the Florida Hospital of Zephyr
Hills.
She was born Feb. 21, 1938, in Aliquippa, Pa., to the late Charles and Maude (Scott) Curry. Mrs. Davis was retired from the state of Ohio.
She is survived by her loving husband, James Davis; a son, Eddie (Deena) Davis of Howard; a daughter, Michelle (Mike) Poling of Marysville; six grandchildren; and a sister, Eleanor Robins of Hilliard.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Curry and Harry Curry.

Karen K. Rich
FRAZEYSBURG — Karen Kay Rich, 45, of 18076 Township Road 184, Frazeysburg,
died Good Friday, April 14, 2006, at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital in Zanesville
after battling heart failure.
She was born April 22, 1960, in Mount Vernon to William “Bill” and Barbara “Barb” (Gault) Lupher. She married Jim Rich on Sept. 8, 1990. Karen was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She is a member of the Perry Chapel Baptist Church. Karen enjoyed supporting her husband and students of the River View FFA, and has generously given her time to the Union Elementary PTO. Karen also enjoyed decorating homes through Home Interiors.
She is survived by her husband, Jim Rich of Frazeysburg; two daughters, Niki of Frazeysburg and Brittany of the home; two grandchildren, Melany Kay Wine and Parker James Bell; a sister, Cathy (Bill) Smith of Frazeysburg; a brother, William (Robin) Lupher of Frazeysburg; two nephews, Bill Smith and Chad Lupher; two nieces, Becky Smith and Chelsey Lupher; a great-uncle, Vaughn Van Winkle of Frazeysburg; and numerous extended family and friends.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 18, at 1 p.m. at the Perry Chapel Baptist Church with Pastor Alice Rich officiating. Burial will be in the Lupher Family Cemetery. Visiting hours are today from 6 to 9 p.m., and from 11 a.m. to service time on Tuesday, all at the church. The Perry Chapel Baptist Church is located in western Coshocton County. There will be signs posted on Ohio 79 past Union School directing traffic to the church. The cemetery is close to the church on Jug Run Road.

COSHOCTON — Edith Adeline Shearn, 91, a resident of the Autumn Health Care
Center died April 16, 2006, at the care center.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 19, at 1 p.m. at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw with Pastor Jeremiah Durham officiating. Burial will be in the Branch Cemetery. Visitation is one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.

Joyce Workman-Garvic
MOUNT VERNON — Joyce Workman-Garvic, 74, of Fredericktown-Amity Road, Mount
Vernon, passed away on Saturday, April 15, 2006, at the Ohio State University
Medical Center.
She was born Jan. 20, 1932, in Mount Vernon to the late Smith and Abanna (Cunningham) Pealer. Joyce received her bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Bowling Green State University and her master’s degree in counseling from The Ohio State University. She was employed with Mount Vernon city schools, where she worked as a teacher and guidance counselor. After retiring, Joyce returned to the school system and coordinated the gifted program with her husband, Don. She was a member of the Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority and the Mulberry Street United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Don Garvic; a son, John (Lori) Workman of Dublin; a daughter, Gayle Workman of Hollywood, Fla.; a stepson, Matthew (Deborah) Garvic of Upper Arlington; a stepdaughter, Beth (Charles) Celauro of Austin, Texas; six grandchildren, Mac, Gus, Joey, Luke, Adam and Julia; three sisters, Evelyn (Ralph) Smothers of Tiffin, Joan (David) Conway of Canfield and Lois (Milan) Senokozlieff of Perrysville; a sister-in-law, Polly Pealer Steltz of Fredericktown; a brother and sister-in-law, David and Joan Workman of Wooster; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Willard Workman; a brother, John Pealer; and a sister, Dorothy Farmer.
Friends may call Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Mulberry Street United Methodist Church. The Rev. Rodney Buchanan will be officiating. The family will observe a private burial.
