William Clever II
COCOA BEACH, Fla. — William Willis Clever II, born Jan. 25, 1943, in Columbus, Ohio, died Thursday, June 22, 2006, after a courageous battle with ALS. Bill grew up in Fredericktown, Ohio, graduating from Fredericktown High School in 1961. He attended the Ohio State University and joined NASA at Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Ala., working in the field of unstable Aerodynamics.
Bill is survived by his wife of 29 years, Gail; his daughter, Tara of Cocoa Beach; sons, Bradley (Robin) of Cincinnati and Bryan (Jodi) of Liberty Township, Ohio; four grandchildren; his father, William, and his wife, Mae, of Lakeland, Fla.; and his sister, Lawana of Urbana, Md.
Bill was preceded in death by his dear mother, Leona; and his beloved son, Russ.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Bill’s memory to Cocoa Beach High School Band Boosters, 1500 Minutemen Causeway, Cocoa Beach, FL 32931. A memorial service will be held at First Christian Church of Cocoa Beach on Wednesday, June 28, at 2 p.m., followed by a celebration of his life at his home.
