Peggy J. Carver
MANSFIELD — Peggy Jean (Algire) Calver, 73, of Mansfield died Aug. 24, 2006,
in MedCentral Hospital.
She was born Nov. 13, 1932, in Mount Gilead to Lawrence and Helen (Smith) Algire, and attended Fredericktown High School with the class of 1950. For 20 years she worked with Bechtel and The Brass Hangar Dry Cleaners. She was a member of the Ontario Free Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Robert L. Carver, whom she married Oct. 15, 1949; daughters, Betsy Calver of Mansfield, Nancy (Rick) Bixler of Chesterville, Shirley Wieland of Ashland and Cindy (Larry) Cruse of Milton, Ind.; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brothers, Bob Algire of Fredericktown, Larry Algire of Mount Vernon, Jim Algire of Chesterville and Ron Algire of Fredericktown.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a grandson, Robert Calver.
Friends may call Sunday, Aug. 27, from 2 to 5 p.m. in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home, Mansfield. The service will be Monday at 11 a.m. in Ontario Free Methodist Church, 2200 Bedford Blvd., Ontario, where friends may call one hour prior. Pastor Jerry Mitchell will officiate. Onalee DeHaven
MOUNT VERNON — Onalee DeHaven, 78, of Pleasant Valley Road, Mount Vernon,
passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2006, at Knox Community Hospital in Mount Vernon.
She was born on April 6, 1928, in Kenton to the late Wesley Rish and Ona Myrtle (Webb) Kemp Sr. Onalee previously worked as a cook for Mazza’s restaurant.
She is survived by her loving family, her husband, Cecil DeHaven; three sons, Michael (Barbara) DeHaven of Mount Vernon, James (Marion) DeHaven of Gambier and Ed (Sharon) DeHaven of Howard; five grandchildren, Denny, Betsy, Darcy, Amy and Staci; seven great-grandchildren, Devyn, Dylan, Morgan, Preston, Bayli, Tony and Autumn; and daughter-in-law, Retha DeHaven.
She was preceded in death by a son, Richard DeHaven; a brother, Wesley Rish Kemp Jr.; and a grandson, Michael David DeHaven.
Friends may call Monday from noon to 1 p.m. at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home, where a funeral will follow at 1 p.m. The Rev. Jamie Gump will be officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens.
