Ronald Pankuch
CENTERBURG — Ronald L. Pankuch, 59, of Gilbert Road, Centerburg, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2006, at his residence.

He was born March 7, 1947, in Cleveland, to Ladislaus and Anna (Piros) Pankuch. Ronald retired after 33 years of employment with Lucent Technologies and most recently worked as a quality circle facilitator for American Showa in Sunbury. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Mount Vernon and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Rose (Peele) Pankuch; two sons, Ronald B. (Amy) Pankuch of Orient and Michael (Shanell) Pankuch of Utica; a daughter, Nadine (Bill) Carmickle of Marengo; six grandchildren, B.J. and Tori Carmickle, Mikaela and Mackenzie Pankuch, Koltin and Brooklyn Pankuch; six brothers, Lad (Eleanor) Pankuch of North Royalton, Bob (Jean) Pankuch of Brook Park, Ray (Carol) Pankuch of Naperville, Ill., Richard (Nancy) Pankuch of Stowe, Bill (Chris) Pankuch of Carey, N.C., and Jim (Patti) Pankuch of Strongsville.

His parents preceded him in death.

Friends may call Friday from 1 to 3 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home where a rosary service will be said at 7:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, with the Rev. Father Mark J. Hammond as celebrant. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Mount Vernon.

Orest Walters
ST. LOUISVILLE — A graveside service for Orest Walters, 90, of St. Louisville will be held Friday, Sept. 1, at 11 a.m. at Wilson Cemetery with Ric Harvel officiating.

Orest died Aug. 29, 2006, at Select Specialty Hospital, Columbus. He was born May 26, 1916, in Charleston, W.Va. He was formerly employed by General Dynamics in Cleveland.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Reva M. Walters, who died June 27, 2005.

Law-Baker Funeral Home, 34 N. Main St., Utica, is assisting the family with arrangements.
