Olive Colwill
MOUNT VERNON — Mrs. Olive Marshall Colwill, aged 99 years and 9 months,
died peacefully Nov. 6, 2006.
A native of Mount Vernon, Ohio, she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Ohio State University and embarked upon 67 years of marriage with Clifford V. Colwill. For 35 years they resided in Mount Lebanon, Pa. A devoted wife and mother, her example of strength and spirit continues to resonate through the generations. Her later years in Friendship Village, Columbus were noted by many for her humor and positive view of life in the face of physical adversity. She will be greatly missed.
She is remembered by her son and daughter-in-law, Jack and Winifred Colwill of Columbia, Mo.; daughter and son-in-law, Jeanne and John Statum of Charlotte, N.C.; five grandchildren and their spouses; and five great-grandchildren.
Friends are invited to join the family in a memorial service at Friendship Village on Friday, Nov. 10, at 3 p.m. The family will hold a private burial in Mound View Cemetery, Mount Vernon, Ohio.
The family suggests contributions be given to the American Red Cross. Arrangements are by the Moreland Funeral Home, Westerville.
Indol F. Moore
DELAWARE — Indol F. “Red” Moore, 70, of Delaware departed this
life Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2006, at his home.
He was born Dec. 26, 1935, in Spiro, Okla., to Walter and Helen (Hurd) Moore. Red spent his early years in Oklahoma and California, moving to Ohio in 1966. He was always a leader and his natural skills led him to be in supervision. He was employed as a supervisor at the Delaware Flxible Corp. factory where he met his wife, Alice. He was a member of Hiram Masonic Lodge and was a 32nd Degree Mason. Red also enjoyed hunting, golfing, and was an avid fisherman. He had a zeal for life and lived every minute to the fullest.
He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Alice V. Moore of Delaware; a daughter, Leslie (Dave) Patterson of Howard; two sons, Indol D. Moore of Groveport and Chris (Julie) Moore of Howard; a stepson, Hubert (Jodi) Wheeler of Delaware; nine grandchildren; one great-grandson; three sisters, Charlene Russell of Phoenix, Ariz., Bess (Don) Briggs of Roseburg, Ore., and Anita (Richard) Grell of North Bend, Wash.; one brother, Hilliard (Eunice) Moore of California. He is also survived by five brothers and sisters-in-law, several nieces and nephews, as well as his AA family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Stanley Moore.
He will be sadly missed by many.
Visitation will be today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Robinson Funeral Home, 32 W. Winter St., Delaware, with a Masonic service at 8 p.m. A funeral service will be Friday at 12:30 p.m. at the Grace United Methodist Church, Delaware, with the Rev. Carl Schaefer officiating. Interment will follow in Winsor Cemetery.

Prabhudas Hiraji Patel
MOUNT VERNON — Prabhudas Hiraji Patel, 93, of Rolling Hills Court, Mount
Vernon, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2006, at the Country Court Nursing Center.
He was born on Aug. 8, 1913, in Rajkot, India, son to the late Hiraji K. and Kashiben H. Patel. Prior to moving to the Mount Vernon area, Mr. Patel was a retired engineer and had lived in the Mount Vernon community for the past 16 years.
He is survived by his wife, Kastur (Savalia) Patel; three sons, Arunkymar, Chandravadan and Rameshchandra Patel; two daughters, Snehlata and Hemlata Patel; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Yamuna Patel.
Friends may call today from 5 to 6 p.m. at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home. A service will follow at 6 p.m.

Russell L. Rockwell
MOUNT VERNON — Russell L. Rockwell, 69, of Mount Vernon died Nov. 8, 2006
at Knox Community Hospital.
He was born Sept. 27, 1937, in Mount Vernon. He had been affiliated with Rockwell Furniture for 50 years, retiring in 2005 as the owner.
He is survived by his wife, Dixie Pembrook Rockwell, to whom he had been married six years; a son, Randall L. (Linda) Rockwell of Tacoma, Wash.; a daughter, Renee S. Rockwell of Mount Gilead; his parents, Roy L. and Esther (Kinney) Rockwell of Mount Vernon; four grandchildren, Alexis, Tony, Dustin and Troy; two stepsons, Terry Wells and Tim (Missy) Wells of Mount Vernon; four stepdaughters, Susan (Ralph) Rice of Mount Vernon, Brenda (Steve) Spearman of Mount Vernon, Vicki (Dan) Kinney of Fredericktown and Melinda (Michael) Walker of Mount Vernon; a sister, Marilyn (Charles) Parker of Johnstown.
Friends may call today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the North-Dilley Funeral Home, where the funeral will be Friday at 1 p.m. The Rev. Jamie Gump will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens.
