Ruth N. Blubaugh
MOUNT VERNON — Ruth N. Blubaugh, 74, of Lower Green Valley Road, Mount Vernon,
died Sunday, Nov. 19, 2006, at The Laurels of Mount Vernon.
Ruth was born Feb. 9, 1932, in Plumbwood to William Frederick McQueen and Edith May (Gearhart) McQueen and had spent most of her lifetime in the Mount Vernon area. She had been an employee of Martin Memorial Hospital, Rose Garden Nursing Home and the Mount Vernon Knox County Public Library, all in Mount Vernon. Ruth embraced the homemaking skills and most enjoyed baking, especially pies for her family. She was a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Mount Vernon.
Surviving Ruth are her husband of 51 years, Ronald C. Blubaugh; her two sons, Timothy J. Blubaugh of Mount Vernon and Jonathan Blubaugh of Newark; her daughter, Kimberly (Larry) Goodrich of Mount Vernon; 11 grandchildren, Misty, Amy, Dustin, Matthew, Angie, Nathan, Derek, Kevin, Drew, Lucas and Leah; four great-grandchildren, Christian, Brandon, Caleb and Cheyenne; her brother, Samuel (Saundra) McQueen of Mount Vernon; and two sisters, Martha (Jim) Yeager and Pauline Keyes, both of Mount Vernon.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Story Blubaugh; her sister, Pearl Parkinson; five brothers, Dave McQueen, Joe McQueen, Jim McQueen, Bill McQueen and Isaac McQueen; and five half brothers, Willis McQueen, Frederick McQueen, Paul McQueen, Carroll McQueen and Kenneth McQueen.
Friends may call Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, where funeral service will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Merlyn Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Union Grove Cemetery near Gambier.

Fern E. Glaze
CROTON — Fern E. Glaze, 85, of Croton died Nov. 19, 2006, at Northview Assisted
Living in Johnstown.
She was born Oct. 18, 1921, near Condit to James and Beulah (Hendon) Bailey. She assisted with the family dairy farm and also worked at the former Townley’s IGA in Sunbury. For over 50 years she was the New Bethel correspondent for the Sunbury News, and was a member of the New Bethel Christian Union Church.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Carey Glaze, whom she married Nov. 1, 1941; three children, Raymond Glaze of Spencerville, Judy Braddock of Botkins, Anita Herlensky of Croton; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren including expected twins.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, two brothers and five sisters.
Friends may call Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Ohio 3 at Ohio 61, Sunbury. Service will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the New Bethel Christian Union Church, 14144 Bethel Road SW, Croton, with Pastors Jon Dotson and Brian Grove officiating. Internment will follow in Trenton Cemetery.

Densel R. Lower
MOUNT VERNON — Densel R. Lower, 88, of Mount Vernon passed away on Sunday
morning, Nov. 19, 2006, at the Ohio Eastern Star Home in Mount Vernon.
He was born on March 31, 1918, in Knox County, a son of the late Charles and Edna (Richert) Lower. Densel was a retired machinist for Cooper-Bessemer. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and a member of the local Machinist Union. Densel had a great love for gardening.
Surviving Densel are his loving wife of 65 years, Lillian L. (Ebersole) Lower; sons, Robert “Bob” (Kay) Lower and Phillip (Shirley) Lower, both of Mount Vernon; daughters, Linda (George) Vogt and Brenda (David) Parr, both of Mount Vernon, Marsha (Chris) Bergs of Lebanon and Doris (David) Schnormeier of Gambier; 18 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Densel was preceded in death by a brother, James Lower; and sisters, Anna Mae Streby and Mary Lower.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, Nov. 21, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home in Mount Vernon with a prayer service following calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, Nov. 22, at 10 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with the Rev. Mark J. Hammond as the celebrant. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Mount Vernon.

Grace E. Russell
CONDIT — Grace E. Russell, 72, of Condit passed away Sunday, Nov. 19, 2006,
at her home.
She was born Aug. 26, 1934, in Columbus to John W. and Lena (Vatican) Chapman. A 1952 graduate of Linden McKinley High School, she had been a resident of the Sunbury area for 40 years. Grace was a manager with Jafra cosmetics and had also been a school bus driver for the Westerville Schools. She was member of the Church of Christ in Christian Union in Columbus.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, William; sons, Brent Russell of Fredericktown, Dane (Nancy) Russell of Delaware; daughters, Brenda (Mike) Krivatch of Nashport, Mary (Brad) Kriesch of Delaware; 14 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and brother, Wayne (Anna Mae) Chapman.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Marilyn (Jack) Blalock.
Friends may call Wednesday from 3 to 7 p.m. at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Ohio 3 at Ohio 61, Sunbury, where service will be Friday at 1 p.m., with Pastor Bruce officiating. Interment will follow in Kingwood Memorial Park.

Ellen J. Wolford
MOUNT VERNON — Ellen Jane Wolford, 59, of Mount Vernon died Nov. 17, 2006,
at the Whispering Hills Care Center after a long illness.
She was born June 26, 1947, in Springfield to Robert and Nancy (O’Brien) Patterson. Raised in Elyria, she was a 1965 graduate of Midview High School in Grafton. She moved to Ringgold, Ga., in 1975, she managed McDonald’s restaurants from 1978 until she moved to Mount Vernon in 1990. She was employed at HiSAN Inc. for eight years until the time of her illness.
She is survived by her husband, George (Denny) Wolford, to whom she was married eight years; two sons, David Hawke and wife, Kim, of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Jeff Hawke of Rossville, Ga.; one stepdaughter, Sherry Main of Mount Vernon; two granddaughters, Kara and Taylor Hawke; four step-grandchildren; four stepgreatgrandchildren; brother, David Patterson, sister-in-law, Petra Patterson, and nephew, Kevin Patterson, all of Richmond, Va.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a stepson, George Wolford.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the North-Dilley Funeral Home.

Lee S. Wright
HOWARD — Lee S. Wright, 51, of Lakeview Heights Drive, died Sunday, Nov.
19, 2006, at his residence.
He was born April 20, 1955, in Plattsburgh, N.Y., to Rodney L. and Jerolyn (Edgerton) Wright. On July 4, 1990, he was married to Tammy Franks. He was a member of the St. Luke Catholic Church in Danville, and was employed as a U.S. customs broker with International Air Freight Forwarders Association. He also volunteered in the Mount Vernon City Schools including the Wiggin Street School Fun Festivals.
He is survived by his wife, Tammy Wright of Howard; daughters, Erin Wright of the home, and Sarah (Shawn) Lautenschuetz of Jaye, N.Y.; a son, Ryan Wright of Argyle, N.Y.; his parents, Rodney and Jerolyn, a sister, Bonnie McDonough (Gary Reid), and nieces, Katie and Chelsey McDonough, all of Rouses Point, N.Y.
He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
A funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, Nov. 22, at St. Luke Catholic Church in Danville with the Rev. F. Richard Snoke officiating. Interment will be in St. Luke Cemetery. Visiting will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
