Christeen Beach
MOUNT VERNON — Christeen Beach, 92, of Mount Vernon died
Monday, Feb. 5, 2007, at the Summerville at HillenVale in Mount Vernon.
Christeen was born Dec. 18, 1914, in Mount Vernon to John and Mary (Beck) Beach and had spent her lifetime in Mount Vernon. Christeen was retired from the Continental Can Co. in Mount Vernon. She was a member of the Mulberry Street United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her nephew, Thomas James of Columbus; and three nieces, Nancy James of Bacliff, Texas, Barbara Smith of Cincinnati and Kathy Friend of Delaware.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, George Beach; and her sister, Elizabeth Dowds.
Friends may call Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home in Mount Vernon where funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Saint John Cemetery near Mount Vernon.

Patricia M. Cramer
FREDERICKTOWN — Patricia M. Cramer, 53, of Boyd Street,
Fredericktown, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 4, 2007, at Triumph Hospital in Mansfield.
She was born Feb. 11, 1953, in Mount Vernon to Robert F. and Nellie (Hutton) Cramer. Patricia was a former member of 4-H and the Rainbow Girls. Her passion in life was her family and the kids she worked with at Fredericktown Schools.
She is survived by her loving family, her mother; a son, Brian W. Doup of Fredericktown; a daughter, Brooke H. (Doug Schwaberow) Doup of Fredericktown; a sister, Deborah (Gregory) Campbell of Galion; nieces and nephews, Jennifer (Troy) Keller, Amy (Kirk) Lohr, Angie Campbell, Chad (Amber) Campbell and Matthew Campbell; great-nieces and nephews, Adrianna, Chelsi and Madilyn Lohr, Troy, Bobby and Riley Keller, Landon and Carson Campbell; and brother-in-law, Donald Thornton.
Besides her father she was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Marie Doup; a brother, Joseph Cramer; and a sister, Bobbie Jeanne Thornton.
Friends may call Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Snyder Funeral Home of Fredericktown, where a funeral service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. The Rev. Mary Miller will officiate. Burial will follow in Forest Cemetery at Fredericktown.

Leon V. Granello
PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. — Leon Victor Granello, 72, died
Jan. 31, 2007.
He was born in Jamaica, N.Y. He lived in Port St. Lucie, Fla., for 29 years, coming from Mahopac, N.Y., and was a summer resident in Apple Valley for the past six years. Before retirement, he was a lieutenant with the New York Police Department for 22 years. He served in the Army. He was a graduate of Hofstra University of New York.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Alanna (Parsons) Granello of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; sons, Victor L. Granello of Howard, Paul F. Granello of Powell and Matthew J. Granello of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; sisters, Florence Mongano and Victoria Piccirillo, both of Palm City, Fla.; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Friends who wish may remember Mr. Granello with Mass cards from Holy Family Catholic Church in Port St. Lucie, Fla. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Feb. 5 at Holy Family Catholic Church, with burial to follow in All Saints Cemetery at Jensen Beach, Fla. MOUNT VERNON — Robert Bernard Henthorn of Mount Vernon
died Saturday, Feb. 3, 2007, from injuries received in an automobile accident
near Fredericktown. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Snyder

William ‘Bill’ Riley
AKRON — William “Bill” Riley,
80, passed away February 5, 2007. He retired in 1988 from Goodyear Tire and Rubber
in Akron after 42 years of service.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Kathy; sons, Bill (Janet), Keith (Colleen), Bruce (Mona) and Todd (Kerri) Riley; daughter, Beth (Mark) Thaxton; 13 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by brother, Clarence (Olive); sisters, Josephine (Larry) and Lucille (Earl); and daughter-in-law, Kay Reffner Riley.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Billow Fairlawn Chapel, 85 N. Miller Road, Akron, OH 44333. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Friends may call Wednesday from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

UTICA — A visitation for George H. Sceurman will
be held Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Utica Church of Christ, 115 N.
Central Ave. George went to “God’s Heavenly Waiting Room” on
Sunday, Feb. 4, 2007, surrounded by his loving family. There will also be a visitation
Wednesday in Newark Memorial Gardens Mausoleum from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Alan Pratt
will officiate.
George was born Nov. 14, 1941, to James and Dorothy Sceurman in Columbus.
George is survived by his wife of 44 years, Diana Sceurman, whom he married in December 1962; his sons, David Sceurman, Duane (Charity) Sceurman and Nicholas Sceurman; daughters, Sandra (Scott) Wireman and Dorothy (John) Turnbull; four grandchildren; brothers, Andy (Connie) Sceurman and Larry (Jane) Sceurman; sister-in-law, Frances McGinnis (Charlie); niece and dear friend, Jackie Hanna; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

L. Ann Vandall
MARENGO — L. Ann Vandall, 67, of Marengo died Sunday afternoon,
Feb. 4, 2007, at home surrounded by her family.
She was born on Oct. 29, 1939, in Chillicothe to Harry and Violet Allen Perkins. Ann moved to Marengo in 1974 from Columbus. A homemaker, she had also worked as a seamstress for the former Columbus Uniform Co.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, James “Button” Vandall; daughters, Sally (Rob) Nye of Centerburg and Rebecca Vandall of Marengo; grandchildren, Allen Vandall, Alicia Nye, Tracy and Amanda Seavolt; great-grandson, Vincent Seavolt; brother, Jerold Porter of Columbus; sisters-in-law, Patricia Porter of Marengo and Pat (Robert) Evans of Flatwoods, Ky.; and brother-in-law, Charles (Barbara) Vandall of Columbus.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Porter, in 2006.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Ohio 229, Marengo, with Pastor Jonathan Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in Butter Cemetery near Marengo. Friends may call one hour prior to the funeral services.

Nanette Wayne
FREDERICKTOWN — Nanette Wayne, 78, of Fredericktown died
Sunday, Feb. 4, 2007, at her residence.
Nanette was born Feb. 14, 1928, in Canton to George G. and Catherine B. (Sinton) Pearson and was a 1946 graduate of Massillon Washington High School. She had been employed as a neurological diagnostic technician at the Cleveland Clinic, Brentwood Hospital, Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital and Sinai Hospital, all in Cleveland, and the Daneman Labs in Mount Vernon.
Nanette was a member of the Howard Christian Church and had served on the board of directors for the Fredericktown Community Library. She had been active with volunteer work at the Fredericktown Presbyterian Church and Interchurch Social Services. Nanette had also written several newsletters for the Presbyterian Church and various neurological publications.
Surviving are her children, Gregory Wayne of Pennsylvania, and Thomas “Jeff” Wayne and Lisa Wayne, both of Fredericktown; four grandchildren, Heather Wayne, Laura Wayne, Terri Weyandt and Jennifer Wagoner; seven great-grandchildren, Branden Tanner Wayne, Geoffrey Allen Gault, Stephanie Suzanne Gault, Alexis Beverly Gault, Kimberly Ann Weyandt, Ryan Wayne Weyandt and Mackanzie Wagoner; and her special friend, Edwin O. Tefs.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, Feb. 6, at 7:30 p.m. at the Snyder Funeral Home in Fredericktown with the Rev. Marion T. Redding officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 p.m. until time of service.
