Charles Bagent
MOUNT VERNON — Charles “Chuck” Bagent, 70,
of Mount Vernon died peacefully at the Palliative Care Center at Knox Community
Hospital.
He was born March 6, 1937, in Newark, to Arthur and Elizabeth (Worth) Bagent. He was a member of the Central Church of Christ and the AMVETS. He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He had been Knox County’s Santa Claus for 40 years; in many parades, at the Plaza Shopping Center, on WMVO’s Charlie Kilkenny Show and many other functions. He was an avid Buckeye fan and was well known as “Buckeye Chuck.” He and his wife, Marilyn, ran the Family Restaurant in Bladensburg and Utica for several years.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn, to whom he had been married 50 years; one daughter, Beth Bagent of Howard; one sister, Jean Harrison of St. Simons Island, Ga.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Esther Rose and Joan Grace.
Friends may call Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at the North-Dilley Funeral Home. Graveside service, with military honors by AMVETS Post 95, will be Monday at 1 p.m. in Mound View Cemetery with Mr. Don Linn officiating.

died Friday morning, April 27, 2007, at the Morrow Manor Care Center in Chesterville.

Lula Drake
MARENGO — Lula Drake, 92, of Township Road 179, Marengo, died
Friday morning, April 27, 2007, at 6:45 a.m., at her residence surrounded by
her family.
She was born in Westerville on May 11, 1914, the daughter of Albert and Mary Ellen (Adkins) Hager. On April 27, 1931, Lula married her loving husband of almost 57 years, Ernest R. Drake, in Worthington. Together they enjoyed farming and raising their 11 children and three grandchildren. He preceded her in death on March 24, 1988.
Lula was a member of the First Church of God in Fredericktown, and frequented the Seniors on Center in Mount Gilead for food, fellowship and to play cards. Also, she served as the financial treasurer for the Chesterville Library for over 19 years, and for the T.O.P.S. Club in Chesterville for over 20 years. A child at heart, Lula loved to play games, cards (especially euchre), bingo anywhere she could, fishing at Knox Lake, and she even bowled in leagues in Fredericktown.
A “rose of many colors,” Lula was an independent woman who gave of herself to others in a very generous and loving way. With patience, she often taught her offspring the many lessons she had learned in her many years.
Her family will forever remember their special Friday nights when family would gather from all over to eat, share stories, and play games.
Lula will be missed by her five sons, Benjamin (Karen) Drake of Fredericktown, Francis Drake of Columbus, Kenneth (Carol) Drake of Delaware, Richard Drake and John (Bonnie) Drake both of Mount Gilead; six daughters, Roberta Mucci of Naples, Fla., Marjorie Cady of Marion, Helen Fox, Beverly (Lary) Hall, Susan (Ronald) Hewett, all four of Cardington, and Donna (Edward) Sagar of Osceola, Mo.; 38 grandchildren; 75 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren; several stepgrandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Herbert, Robert, Albert, Wilbur and Wallace Hager; and three sisters, Della Baker, Bessie Decot and Margie Decot.
The family will greet friends on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Snyder Funeral Home, 76 S. Main St., Mount Gilead, where funeral service will be Monday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Richard Prater officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Chesterville.

Rob V. Forman
WEST CHESTER — Rob V. Forman, 36, of West Chester passed
away April 26, 2007, at University Hospital in Cincinnati.
He was born Nov. 24, 1970, in Erie, Pa., the son of Jody (Myers) and Robert Forman. He graduated from Northwest High School in 1989 and attended Cincinnati Technical College. He was employed as an independent contractor by Fed Ex Home Delivery. He attended Venice Presbyterian Church in Ross. Rob enjoyed golfing and going to car shows.
He is survived by his mother, Jody Forman Fall, and her husband, Jerry Fall of Liberty Township; his father, Robert J. Forman, and his former wife, Lynn Forman, of Berlin; his maternal grandfather, John R. Myers of Mount Vernon; uncles, William Myers of Akin, S.C., Allen (Ruth) Myers of Mount Vernon and Michael (Sherrie) Myers of Fredericktown; aunt, Carol (Alan) Ward of Philadelphia, Miss.; his paternal grandfather, Raymond Forman of Cleveland; uncle, Dennis Forman of Cleveland; aunt, Susan (David) Metro of Middleburg Heights; half brothers, Scott, Mark, David and Christian Forman; stepgrandfather, Emerson Fall of Collinsville; lifelong friend, Robin Enderle, and her husband, Ray; two nieces and one nephew; and many other loving relatives and close friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Mary Jane Myers; and his paternal grandmother, Isabella Forman.
The family wishes to thank the Cardiac Care Unit at University Hospital and especially Dr. Shahab Akhter and Dr. Jeffrey Garrett.
There will be a memorial service at Venice Presbyterian Church, 4244 Layhigh Road, Ross, Ohio, on Monday, April 30, at 2 p.m. Visitation will be at the church from noon until time of service.

John R. Frost
MECHANICSBURG — John Russell Frost of Mechanicsburg passed
away Wednesday, April 25, 2007. Russell was born Nov. 8, 1911, in Fallsburg,
the son of John William Frost and Artie Mae (Van Winkle) Frost. Russell was 95
years young.
Russell worked in the auto body shop for many years at Frost Motor Sales, owned by his brother, Clyde, and started his own body shop in Mechanicsburg on Sceva Avenue. He was also a volunteer fireman for Mechanicsburg Fire Department for many years repairing and painting the fire trucks. He drove and repaired school buses for the Mechanicsburg Village Exempted Schools. Russell owned and operated the Sohio Gas Station in Mechanicsburg on West Sandusky Street. After retiring, he moved to Florida and worked at Zellwinn Vegetable Farms in Zellwood, Fla. After moving back to Ohio in 1981, Russell spent his spare time hauling the Amish in Knox County. He was an avid sportsman and member of the Buckeye Bucks Club. Russell was the family monarch and very much enjoyed many family events such as the Annual Frost Family Campout. He was also a member of the Bladensburg Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Eileen Frost of Bladensburg; children, Lucille (Ron) Welch, Roy (Jeannie) Frost, Joann (James) Schafer, Barbara (Roger) Johnson, Wayne (Kim) Frost, Connie (Paul) Foss and Garry (Carol) Frost; stepchildren, William (Patti) Porterfield, Nelson (Judy) Porterfield, Iris (Lee) Graham, Sue (Paul) Harris and Luann (Dana) Fulk; 30 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; 14 stepgrandchildren; 25 stepgreat-grandchildren; his sisters, Mary Wright, Emmagene Jackson, Gladys Cochenour, Shirley Shoemaker, Charlene Weaver, Mary Jane Phillips and Maxine Davis; his brother, John William Frost Jr.; hunting buddies, James Adams and Robert Delay; and friends too numerous to count.
Russell was preceded in death by his first wife of 47 years, Anna Margaret (Bartoe) Frost, mother of his nine children; daughters, Marlene and Darlene; grandchildren, Joyce Ann and Charles Snyder; sons-in-law, William James and Albert Snyder; sisters, Goldie and Leontine; and brothers, Clyde, Everett, Grover, Earl, Raymond, Paul, Edgar and Donald.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Sunday, April 29, from 2 to 6 p.m. in the Skillman, McDonald & Vernon Funeral Home in Mechanicsburg. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 30, at 1 p.m. in the Mechanicsburg Christian Fellowship Church where friends may call one hour prior. Following the funeral services his body will be cremated.

Martha R. Stull
MOUNT VERNON — Martha R. (Butler) Stull, 98, of East
Pleasant Street, Mount Vernon, went to be with the Lord on Friday, April 27,
2007, at the Ohio Eastern Star Home.
She was born Nov. 26, 1908, in Knox County to the late John and Bertha (Hildebrand) Frye and has been a Knox County resident for her entire life. Martha had been a member of the Brandon Baptist Church since 1941 and was also a member of the Pleasant Grange.
She is survived by her daughter, Louzella (Douglas) Long of Utica; a son, John (Barb) Butler of Mount Vernon; a stepson, Rex (Joanne) Stull of Butler; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; five stepgrandchildren; 11 stepgreat-grandchildren; and seven stepgreat-great-grandchildren.
Martha was preceded in death by her first husband, of 23 years, Reil Butler; her second husband, of 25 years, Harold Stull; five brothers; and five sisters.
Friends may call Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home. A service will be held on Tuesday beginning at 11 a.m. at the Brandon Baptist Church with the Rev. Marvin Haught officiating. Burial will follow in Brandon Cemetery.

Maxine Ullom
MOUNT VERNON — Maxine Ullom, age 82, of Mount Vernon, passed
away on Wednesday, April 25, 2007. Graduate of Coldwater (Michigan) High School,
Class of 1943. Loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Preceded
in death by husband Charles, son Larry and step-brother Neil Wetherell. Survived
by granddaughter, Shannon (Regan) Cherrington; grandson, Brian Ullom; granddaughter,
Alexis Cherrington; sister Dorothy Barton; step-sister Katherin Burnside; many
nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Special thank you to the nurses and staff at the Ohio Eastern Star Home for the
wonderful care they provided and to Carl Fry for his long-lasting friendship,
guidance and support to Maxine. A graveside service will be conducted at Blendon
