Brenda Black
MOUNT VERNON — Brenda Black, 57, of Keys Road, Mount Vernon, passed away Thursday, May 10, 2007, at her home. The arrangements are under the care and direction of the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home.

Richard M. DeLauder
MOUNT VERNON — Richard M. DeLauder, 60, of Mount Vernon died May 9, 2007, at Knox Community Hospital. The North-Dilley Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

June Harney
MOUNT VERNON — June Harney, 86, of Martinsburg Road, Mount Vernon, passed away after a long illness on Tuesday, May 8, 2007, at the Knox Community Hospital.

She was born June 28, 1920, in Mount Vernon to the late Frank and Maude (Butler) Fox and had been a Mount Vernon resident her entire life. She graduated from Mount Vernon High School in the class of 1937. June managed the Fox Grocery Store, a family-owned and operated grocery business for many years. She was employed as manager for the Guys and Dolls Children’s Clothing store until her retirement. She was a member of the Mulberry Street United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Leslie (Ronald) Miller of Zanesville; two sons, David (Bonnie) Rowe of Mount Vernon and Joseph (Carol) Harney of Mount Vernon; one niece and special friend, Shelia Mill of Mount Vernon; two nephews, Richard (Reva) Fox of Wooster and Stephen (Darlene) Fox of Glenmont; five grandchildren, Traci Caple, Michael Rowe, Eric Miller, Brian Miller and Dirk Harney; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and numerous great-nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, June was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Harney; a sister, Martine Mill; and a brother, Robert Fox.

Friends may call Sunday, May 13, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home. A service will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. Rodney Buchanan officiating. Burial will follow in Mound View Cemetery.
