Mary Ann Mickley
MOUNT VERNON — Mary Ann Mickley, 91, of Delano Street,
Mount Vernon, died Saturday, May 26, 2007, at the Knox Community Hospital emergency
room.
She was born Feb. 22, 1916, in Mount Vernon to Jacob and Helen (Sabbich) Sakala. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Mary always enjoyed a good game of cards.
She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Robert Mickley; three daughters, Karen McLaughlin of Mount Vernon, Marilyn (Richard) Litzenberg Sr. of Centerburg, Linda Montgomery of Mount Vernon; five grandchildren, Lori (Rodney) Houck, Lisa (Jason) Wilson, Richard Litzenberg Jr., Cheryl McLaughlin and Christie Montgomery; four great-grandchildren, Tyler and Levi Houck and Colston and Sara Wilson; and a brother, Andrew (Roberta) Sakala of Mount Vernon.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Mary Ann Mickley; two brothers, Dan Sakala and Mike Sakala; and a son-in-law, Robert McLaughlin.
Friends may call Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home, where a prayer service will be held at 8 p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday at 11 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. The Rev. Father Mark J. Hammond will officiate. Burial will follow in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens.
