Kenneth Clipse
MOUNT VERNON — Kenneth Clipse, 71, of Kirk Street, Mount Vernon, passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2007, at the Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.

He was born June 9, 1935, in Knoxville, Tenn., to Joseph F. and Ada (Johnson) Clipse. Kenneth was employed at the Kitchen Sales Corp. and also was a self-employed cabinet and counter top maker. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the AMVETS in Mount Vernon, was an avid John Wayne movie and history buff, and could recite the Constitution of the United States in which he firmly believed. Kenneth was a veteran serving in the U.S. Navy and also the Ohio National Guard.

He is survived by three sons, Scott (Cindy) Clipse of Columbus, Joe (Charlene) Clipse of Okatie, S.C., Jason Clipse of Mount Vernon; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Betty Rinehart of Mount Vernon and Stella Adkins of Mount Vernon.

Kenneth was preceded in death by a daughter, Lori Borman; a great-grandson, Brandon Bays; a brother, Chet Clipse; and a sister, Margaret Harden.

Friends may call on Friday, June 1, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home. A graveside service, with military honors provided by the Knox County Joint Veterans Council, will be Saturday beginning at 11 a.m. in Memorial Gardens Cemetery, with the Rev. Marvin Haught officiating.

Glen Hall
DANVILLE — Glen “Skinner” Hall, 74, died Tuesday, May 29, 2007, at the OSU Medical Center.

He was born Oct. 30, 1932, in Morgan County, Ky., to Dewey and Inez (Settels) Hall. He was married on June 6, 1986, to Carol J. Christopher. He was a member of the Teamsters for over 30 years.

He is survived by his wife, Carol; a son, Steve (Tammy) Hall of Mount Vernon; a daughter, Stephanie (Carl) Kuhel of Conroe, Texas; a granddaughter, Natasha (Matthew) Jacobs of Mount Vernon; great-grandchildren, Nastassja, Chazz and Maddox; stepchildren, Alan (Cheryl) Decker of Warsaw, Becky (Don) McDowell of Millersburg and Mike (Brenda) Decker of Newcomerstown; stepgrandchildren, Keri, Corey, Amy, Brian and Michael; brothers, James and Carl Hall; sisters, Dorothy Brown, Francis Hutchison, Jerri Combs and Shirley McMillan; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Gladys Haywood and Cloteen Reeves.

A funeral service will be held Friday, June 1, at 2 p.m. at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville. Burial will be in Workman Cemetery. Calling hours will be today from 6 to 8 p.m.

Robert L. Moore
MOUNT VERNON — Robert L. Moore, 54, of Vernonview Drive, Mount Vernon, passed away Sunday, May 27, 2007, at Knox Community Hospital.

He was born Dec. 9, 1952, in Mansfield to Eddie and Mattie Louise (Wyander) Moore. Robert will be sadly missed by his family and his friends.

He is survived by his parents; four sisters, Linda Johnson of Mansfield, Bennie Hess of Columbus, Shelvy Fletcher of Huntsville, Ala., and Margie (Morris) Peoples of Tanner, Ala.; a brother, Ronald (Liz) Moore of College Park, Ga.; and an aunt, Minnie Scott of Mansfield.

Robert was preceded in death by two brothers, Eddie Moore Jr. and Larry Moore.

A graveside service will be held Monday, June 4, beginning at 11 a.m. in Ebenezer Cemetery with Deacon James Kaniecki officiating. The arrangements are under the care and direction of the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home in Mount Vernon.

Kathleen A. Noce
MOUNT VERNON — Kathleen Ann Noce, 49, of Mount Vernon died Wednesday, May 30, 2007, at her residence following a long battle with diabetes.

Kathleen was born Sept. 25, 1957, in Mount Vernon and had spent her lifetime in the Mount Vernon area. She had been a member of the Mount Vernon Eagles Lodge.

Surviving are her mother, Coreta (Small) Kempton Ballam of Mount Vernon; her husband, Michael Noce; her daughters, Patience (Troy) Martin and Summer (Cody Dun) Rector, both of Mount Vernon; her sister, Mary Jo Ray of Fredericktown; and three brothers, Thomas (Nancy) Kempton of West Chester, Calif., John (Melissa) Kempton of Mount Vernon and Christopher (Michelle) Kempton of Fredericktown.

Her father, Charles Joseph Kempton, preceded her in death.

Friends may call Saturday, June 2, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home, 201 Newark Road, Mount Vernon. Services at a later date.

Carl Randy Ware
HOWARD — No services will be held for Carl Randy Ware, 46, of Howard. Mr. Ware passed away May 27, 2007, at Morning View Care Center in Centerburg. The Brucker & Kishler Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
