George M. Brewer
BELLVILLE — George M. Brewer, 62, of Bellville died Friday,
June 8, 2007, in Riverside Methodist Hospital.
He was born Nov. 11, 1944, in Butler to Edward and Margaret (Noe) Brewer, and remained a lifelong area resident. George worked at Hi-Lo Trailer Co. for 42 years both wiring and building chassis. George was a loyal Browns and Indians fan. He was blessed with a wonderful gift of memory, and could recall stats of his favorite players.
He will be sadly missed by his three sisters, Wilma (David) Heffelfinger of Loudonville, Marlene (Phil) Heffelfinger of Conneaut, and Margaret Sparks of Perrysville; and two brothers, Ronald(Gayle) Brewer of Ontario and Denis (Nancy) Brewer of Findlay; a half sister, Genalee Wolf of Columbus; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Gertrude Tackett; and a brother, Robert Brewer.
Friends may call Sunday, June 10, from 2 to 5 p.m. in the Bellville Snyder Funeral Home, where the funeral will be Monday at 11 a.m. Pastor Larry McCabe will officiate and burial will follow in Bellville Cemetery.

Mildred Ann Crist
MOUNT VERNON — Mildred Ann Crist, 81, of Mount Vernon
entered eternal rest on Wednesday, June 6, 2007, at Knox Community Hospital,
Mount Vernon.
She was born July 6, 1926, in Newark to Tennyson and Estella (Keister) Crist.
Mildred is survived by a sister, Rozella Crist of Newark; niece, Linda Lees of Newark; nephews, Marvin (Mary) Adzic, Danny (Jolene) Adzic and Nicholas (Vicki) Adzic; many great-, great-great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by parents; brother, George Crist; sister and bother-in-law, Dorothy and George Crist; nephew, Gill R. Lees; and great-great-nieces, Sydnie and Shelbie Lees.
Graveside service will be Sunday, June 10, at 1:30 p.m. in Zion Ridge Cemetery, Thornville. The Boring-Sherian Funeral Home, Thornville, assisted the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be expressed at boringsheridanfuneralhomes.com.
Richard E. Fluhart
NEWARK — A funeral service for Richard E. Fluhart,
76, of Newark will be held Monday, June 11, at 7:30 p.m. at the Newark Chapel
of Henderson-Van Atta Funeral & Cremation Service with Pastor Mark Chow officiating.
Military honors will be observed by the Licking County Veteran Alliance. Burial
will take place at a later date at Newark Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Fluhart, a U.S. Army veteran, died June 8, 2007, at Grant Medical Center in Columbus. He was born Sept. 7, 1930, in Newark to Ralph and Mildred (Bryan) Fluhart. Mr. Fluhart retired after 41 years of service from Ohio Power. He was a member of the DAV and the First United Methodist Church.
He is survived by a daughter, Cindy (Scott) Gray of Newark; a son, John Fluhart of Mount Vernon; four grandchildren, David (Holly) Fluhart, Tommy Fluhart of Mount Vernon, Nick Gray of Bowling Green and Erin Gray of Newark; a great-granddaughter, Aliyah Fluhart; and a brother, James Fluhart of Nashville, Tenn.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis A. Fluhart; who died on Dec. 25, 2006.
Friends may call Monday, June 11, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home, 59 N. Fifth St., Newark.

Jerry D. Young Sr.
MOUNT VERNON — Jerry Dale Young Sr., 55, of Mount
Vernon died June 7, 2007, at The Ohio State University Hospital.
He was born Nov. 5, 1951, in Bristol, Va., to Gordon and Gladys (Wyatt) Young. Jerry was the lead guitarist for the band Rebel Wind; was a co-owner of Youngs Drive Inn; and enjoyed golfing, songwriting and joking around with others.
He is survived by his wife, Aleta (Alicie) Young, to whom he had been married for 36 years; two sons, Jerry (Sharrie) Young Jr. of Howard and Thomas Young of Mount Vernon; daughter, Misty (Bryan) Hall of Mount Vernon; sister, Judy (Leonard) Vess of Mount Vernon; brother, John (Regina) Young of South Carolina; stepmother, Helen Pilon of North Carolina; and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by an infant brother, Joey C. Young.
Friends may call Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the North-Dilley Funeral Home. There will be no funeral services.
