Ruth Ann Doup
RICHMOND, Va. — Ruth Ann Doup of Richmond, Va., formerly of
Millwood, died Wednesday, June 20, 2007.
She was the widow of Charles G. Doup Jr.
She is survived by four children, Donald L. Doup, Lee Ann Athanasatos, Tamala M. Doup and Charles T. Doup; three grandsons, Christopher and Matthew Waugh, and Chase Painter; one great-grandson, Gavin Waugh; one sister, Romona Cramer; and her beloved niece, Patricia McKinley.
Her family will receive friends today from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bliley’s-Chippenham Chapel, 6900 Hull St. Road, where a funeral service will be Saturday at 2 p.m. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park. The Joseph W. Bliley Funeral Home of Richmond, Va., is in charge of arrangements.
N. Mildred Herdman
ASHLAND — N. Mildred Herdman, 93, of Amberwood Parkway,
Ashland, and formerly of Fredericktown, passed away Thursday, June 21, 2007,
at the Kingston of Ashland Nursing Home.
She was born Oct. 31, 1913, in Knox County to the late Harvey and Mamie (Hardenbrook) Frazier. She was a member of the Fredericktown United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her loving family, a son, William (Janet) Herdman of Mansfield; two daughters, Sue (William) Beheler of Fredericktown and Carma Miller of Ashland; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, John Herdman; a brother, Morris Frazier; a sister, Stella Crawford; and a half sister, Rachel Parker.
A funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Snyder Funeral Home in Fredericktown, 33 E. College St., Fredericktown, Ohio 43019. Friends may call one hour prior. The Rev. Larry Draper and Pastor Guy Solarek will officiate. Burial will follow in Forest Cemetery in Fredericktown.

David C. McCoy
FREDERICKTOWN — David C. McCoy, 57, of Fredericktown died
Wednesday, June 20, 2007, from injuries received in a farming accident.
David was born Dec. 22, 1949, in Mount Vernon to Thelston O. and Ruth (Clark) McCoy and had spent most of his lifetime in the Fredericktown area. He graduated from Fredericktown High School in 1968, and with honors from The Ohio State University in 1972 with a degree in Agriculture Economics. While at The Ohio State University, David participated with the Air Force Reserve Officers Training Corps. Following graduation he served with the U.S. Air Force from 1972 to 1975. David maintained a farm east of Fredericktown where he was an organic grass fed beef farmer. David was also a State Tested Nursing Assistant. David had served as a Hospice Volunteer for Hospice of Knox County.
He had participated with the Mount Vernon Players, volunteered with Habitat for Humanity, had been a member of the Colonial Classics Barbershop Quartet and was an active member of the Experimental Aircraft Association, providing over 100 “Young Eagle Flights” to area youth.
Surviving are his wife, Marcia (Knapp) McCoy, whom he married Oct. 2, 1976; his children, Kent McCoy of Fredericktown, now stationed in California with the U.S. Air Force, Drew McCoy and Haley McCoy, both of Fredericktown; his sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and Douglas Hull of Fredericktown; and his brother, Thomas McCoy of Lakeside, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
There will be no calling hours. The family will observe a memorial service on Sunday, July 1, at 6:30 p.m. at the family farm.

Shirley A. Zigler
SUNBURY — Shirley A. Zigler, 72, of Sunbury died Wednesday,
June 20, 2007, at St. Ann’s Hospital in Westerville.
Born on Jan. 27, 1935, in Columbus to Bernam and Amelia (Miller) Parker, she was a graduate of North High School and associated with the Centerburg Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. A homemaker she, took pride in caring for the needs of her family. A humble and private person, she will be remembered for her caring qualities.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Donald C. Zigler; daughters, Brenda Gruber of South Vienna, Debora (Jon) Figgins of Lancaster; daughter-in-law, Deborah Myers Zigler of Zanesville; granddaughters, Kayla and Katelyn; sister, Diana Endicott of Columbus; brother-in-law, Duane Barnes of Thornville; nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by son, Donald, in 1997; brother, Robert Parker; and sister, Phyllis Barnes.
