David Annett
MOUNT VERNON — David Annett, 53, of Mount Vernon died this morning at St. Ann’s Hospital in Westerville.

Arrangements are pending at the Snyder Funeral Homes of Mount Vernon.

Marion E. Blank
MOUNT VERNON — Marion E. Blank, 89, of Mount Vernon died July 31, 2007, at the Country Court Nursing Center.

She was born April 26, 1918, in Ryan, Iowa, to Frank and Elizabeth (Ammetter) Keegan. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. She retired from Knox Community Hospital as the director of radiology department. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi for over 60 years and the local chapter of Alpha Gamma.

She is survived by two sons, Jim (Terry) Blank of Mansfield and Jack (Mary) Blank of Fresno, Calif.; one daughter, Janet Grohe of Mount Vernon; eight grandchildren, James (Jessica) Blank, Mike (Amber) Blank, Stephen, Brian and Jenny Blank, and Jackie, Bill (Tina) and Matt (Misty) Grohe; great-grandchildren, Dustin and Tyler McDowell, Alli Hart, and Trent, Trey, Trevor and Brooklyn Grohe.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James Blank, in 1991; one sister, Rozina Lyness; and one brother, Bob Whitney.

Friends may call Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the North-Dilley Funeral Home. Prayers for a Christian Wake will be at 8 p.m. The funeral Mass will be Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with the Rev. Mark Hammond as celebrant. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.

Barbara J. Mowery
MOUNT VERNON — Barbara J. Mowery, 54, of Mount Vernon died July 31, 2007, at Country Club Retirement Campus.

She was born March 7, 1953, in Mount Vernon. Barbara was a member of the First Baptist Church, Sweet Adelines and the Mount Vernon Jaycees. She also volunteered with Junior Miss. Barbara had worked for Kenyon College for the past 23 years and part time for Mister Pizza here in Mount Vernon.

She is survived by her son, Matt Mowery, father, Paul Doup, sister, Dianne (Mark) Rutherford, a niece, Lori Rutherford, and a nephew, Michael (Christina) Rutherford, all of Mount Vernon.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Doup.

Friends may call Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the North-Dilley Funeral Home, where memorial services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Fred Linger officiating.

Andrew Nethers
GAMBIER — Andrew Adam Michael Eugene Nethers of Deal Road, Gambier, was stillborn on June 19, 2007, at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Zanesville.

Andrew is survived by his parents, Tracy and Lisa (Rowland) Nethers; two brothers, Roger Nethers and Ethan Nethers; a sister, Rena Nethers; maternal grandparents, Richard Rowland, Allen Gorlick and Moureen Kreusler; and paternal grandparents, David (Pam) Nethers and Tama (Steve) McIntyre.

The family observed a private burial at Martinsburg Methodist Cemetery. The arrangements were under the care and direction of the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home in Mount Vernon.

Gertrude M. Warren
MARENGO — Gertrude M. Warren, 88, formerly of Columbus, died Tuesday, July 31, 2007, at Bennington Glen in Marengo.

She was born March 21, 1919, in Detroit, Mich., to Raymond and Gertrude (Schmidler) Plass. A proud Catholic homemaker, she was a former resident of the Palm Valley, Fla., area and member of the Palm Valley Street Walkers and Mermaids.

She is survived by daughters, Jackie (Robert) Quinn of Fredericktown and Mary (Joe) Wieneke of Corona, Calif.; a son, Larry Warren of Fredericksburg, Va.; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and loving companion, Al DelRossi of King of Prussia, Pa.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Donald Warren, in 1997; son, Douglas Warren; grandson, Matthew Casey; and sisters, Virginia and Margaret.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Resurrection Cemetery Chapel with the Rev. David Sizemore as celebrant.
