Daniel W. Anderson
COSHOCTON — Daniel W. Anderson, 62, died Monday, Aug. 6, 2007, at his residence after battling lung cancer for over a year.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Aug. 9, at 11 a.m. at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw with Pastors Scott Benka and Jeffrey Woodroof officiating. Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery with graveside military rites conducted by the Coshocton County Joint Veterans Council. Calling hours will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. and until service time on Thursday.

Audrey E. Campbell
MOUNT VERNON — Audrey E. Campbell, 77, of Mount Vernon died Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2007, at the Knox Community Hospital in Mount Vernon.

Audrey was born Aug. 10, 1929, in Lancaster County, Pa., to J. Andrew and Edna (Shenk) Railing and was a graduate of Penn-Manor High School in Millersville, Pa. As a young woman Audrey had been employed as an inspector for Hamilton Watches and then Raytheon Corp. in their missile guidance division. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and attended the Fredericktown United Methodist Church where she was a member of the choir. Audrey had also been active with Camp Sychar in Mount Vernon. She enjoyed word games, crossword puzzles and Scrabble.

Surviving are her husband, Dr. J. Gary Campbell, whom she married Aug. 2, 1953; her son, Shaun Campbell of Alexandria, Va.; her twin daughters, Sheila (Andy) Haldeman of Sunbury and Sharon (Roger) Crossen of Ashland; five grandchildren, Allison Campbell, Christopher Campbell, Cory Haldeman, Derek Haldeman and Jacob Ihasz; three brothers, John Railing of Lancaster, Pa., Rodney Railing of Davenport, Fla., and Willard Railing of Pequea, Pa.; two nephews; two nieces; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

Her parents, two brothers, Warren Railing and Glenn Railing, and a sister, Anne Railing, preceded Audrey in death.

A service celebrating the life of Audrey Campbell and giving glory to God will be Friday at 11 a.m. at the Fredericktown United Methodist Church with the Revs. Keith Bohley and Tom Keene officiating. Burial will be in Bird Cemetery, south of Mount Vernon. Friends may call Thursday from 1 to 3 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home, 619 E. High St., Mount Vernon, and on Friday at the church one hour prior to the services.

Barbara Jean Haffenden
HOWARD — Barbara Jean Haffenden, 77, of Howard passed away Aug. 6, 2007, at the Ohio Eastern Star Home.

She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Ralph. She is also survived by sons, Charles (Kelly), Philip (Rebecca), Paul (Marie) and Ralph III (Melissa); brothers, John Fish and Jan Fish; sisters, Yvonne Gilbert and Joan Larson; 13 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Haffenden was preceded in death by infant sons, James, John and Brian; brother, Ray Fish; and her parents.

Barbara was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and the Women’s Circle, and Otterbein Women’s Club. She was an active Sunday school teacher in many Presbyterian Churches over the years.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Aug. 11, at 11 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, 106 N. Gay St., Mount Vernon, OH 43050. The family will be available for visitation one hour before the service.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home in Mount Vernon.

Charles Kuntzman
SUNBURY — Charles F. Kuntzman, 88, of Sunbury died Wednesday morning, Aug. 8, 2007, at Friendship Village in Columbus. Arrangements will be announced by the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Sunbury. Condolences may be expressed at www.snyderfuneralhomes.com.

Kenneth McCarty
FALLON, Nev. — Kenneth Neil McCarty, 66, Fallon resident passed away at Northern Nevada Medical Center after a lengthy illness on July 13, 2007.

Kenneth was born Aug. 14, 1940, in Marengo, Ohio, to Deltus and Mary Alice McCarty. He graduated from Marengo High School in 1958. In August of 1958 he joined the U.S. Navy, he became an aviation technician.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Melvyn and Robert McCarty.

Kenneth is survived by his wife, Faye of Fallon; daughters, Tina Lambert, Denise (Scott) Bradley, Deborah (Mike) Thomas, Sonya (Doug) Cress and Stevie (Bill) Koestner; sons, William DeCoux and Ernie Decoux; brothers, Paul (Lois) McCarty of Marengo and Ben (Mary) McCarty; sister, Vivian (Paul) Graham of Ohio; 13 grandchildren; and mother-in-law, Violet Stewart of Fallon.

Memorial service will be held Sunday, Aug. 12, at 10 a.m. in Marengo, Ohio, at the American Legion Post 710. A gathering will follow service at the post.
