Carl J. McCullough
UTICA — A funeral service for Carl J. McCullough, 85, of Utica will be held Thursday, Jan. 3, 2008, at 11 a.m. at Law-Baker Funeral Home with Mr. David McGaughy officiating. Burial will follow in Martinsburg Methodist Cemetery.
Carl died Dec. 30, 2007, at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus. He was born July 15, 1922, in Martinsburg to the late Thomas E. and Pearl E. (Davis) McCullough. Carl, a lifelong farmer, was a member of Martinsburg Christian Church and past president of the Buckeye Horse Pulling Association. He was a Clay Township Trustee for eight years, and worked in the oil fields and timber business.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Betty L. (Croy) McCullough; son and daughter-in-law, David and Mari McCullough of Utica; daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and Patrick Murphy of Heath; three granddaughters, Shelly (Dennis) Robinson, Kimberly McCullough, and Magi McCullough; four stepgrandchildren, Thomas Myers, Amber Murphy, Ryan Murphy and Kelsey Murphy; five great-grandchildren; sister, Isabel Hogle of Exeter, Calif.; and many nieces and nephews.
He wss preceded in death by his brother, Burton McCullough; and grandson, Sean McCullough.
Friends may call Wednesday, Jan. 2, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Law-Baker Funeral Home, 34 N Main St., Utica.
