Lowell R. Mackley
SUNBURY — Lowell R. Mackley, 66, of Sunbury died Monday, Dec. 31, 2007, at Mount Carmel West in Columbus.
He was born Feb. 12, 1941, in Maidsville, W.Va., to Ray Mackley and Mary M. (Layton) Mackley York. A graduate of the 1959 Class of Big Walnut High School, he was a lifelong resident of the Galena and Sunbury area.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 49 years, Patty (Caldwell); son, Dean (Michele) Mackley of Nitro, W.Va.; daughter, Robin (George) Helton of Marengo; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister, Dixie (Jesse) Rice of Sunbury; and brother, Bob (Sharon) Mackley of Phoenix, Ariz.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by brother, Arthur; and sister, Liberty.
Friends may call today from 4 to 7 p.m. at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Ohio 3 at Ohio 61 in Sunbury. Funeral services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Genoa Baptist Church, 7562 Lewis Center Road, at Ohio 3, Westerville, with Pastor Wayne Booth officiating. Interment will be in Galena Cemetery.
